WSU finally has its shiz together, so a group of us are gonna make it out to NW Majors this year. As many as 6 of us could be coming, mostly for SSF4 and possibly Blazblue if that is a tourney game. I thought on this, and theres a lot of talk about logo stuff. Heres my honest opinion.
Keep it the same. I don’t feel there is anything wrong with it, and IMO, the first step that would be good is to keep that logo because A) its already on all the vids I did last year for one and B) Its done, out of the way, and C) It doesn’t directly focus on any one specific location.
So I’ve been sitting here thinking about games after watching the Dev stream and thinking a bit and here is my proposal, especially with a 2 day event.

Super SF4** – Its the hot stuff right now.
Tekken 6 – Its the other hot stuff right now.
**HDRemix **-- I know ST is something a lot of people want but I guess HDR is the new standard
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift – From what I’ve gathered, this game has a release date for console on 7/27/2010 which means its A) Playable by all and B) Streamable. Yeah, there was some beef because of Bloody Knuckles but it was all a miscommunication. Nothing more, nothing less.
KOF13 (TENTATIVE)– KOF13 is slated for a summer release. IDK when that is, but its supposedly much better than 12.
MVC2 – A lot of the marvel cats were in Seattle during BR so I can’t tell how well the turn out would be. Would it be better than Super NCR which was under, I think, 32?
**TvC **-- Again, I don’t know how well the turn out would be but hey, might be worth a shot?
Smash – If there is an interest in Smash, and all parties agree, then why not run it? If there can be a decent turn out then go for it. All up to Frank and the Smash TO though.
Guilty Gear 2v2 teams? IDK, i wasn’t 100% sure on numbers from last year…
I know its a lot of games, but those are just ideas I’m throwing out
As far as a proposed schedule?
Since the plan is a 2-day event, obviously all pools would be day 1 but, if Frank is cool with this when he gets his TW2 scheduling resolved or decided, to maybe run semis for TWs on day 1 towards the end.
Then day 2 everything but maybe run TW finals then T6 and 4.
Exhibitions – Big “Bison Dollar” Matches definitely but also, perhaps a 2v2 or 3v3 teams tourney pokemon format in 4, or an 8 team 5v5 single elim pokemon in 4 or something, Puzzle Fighter HD Remix? LoL.
Just ideas after all but those are my 2 cents all in pennies cause i don’t need no damn pennies

Hahaha, I was messing around with Urien in practice mode cus I got inspired by some RX videos before, that’s crackers.
So, after a lot of thought (and seeing how the whole situation has been stagnant with Best Western) I have ultimately decided to cancel NWM’s 3. Things are too wishy washy with Best Western right now, and I’m not getting any answers or updates from them about the situation with TournamentWars. With that said I feel that there is some sort of risk involved based on the agreement we had for NWM’s that I’m not willing to take. For now, NWM’s 3 is out of the question for August. The idea of having NWM’s 3 someitme before the end of the year isn’t out of the question, but I’m not going to discuss on that matter now. I appologize for all the hype and interest that everyone had, but again I personally am not trying to take a risk or bank on BW backing out at the last minute. Again sorry, but I’ve made my mind up.

Why don’t we try to find a venue that isn’t the Best Western? There are plenty of places I think we could get a solid venue going for something like this.
