Last minute call! We need extension cords!
If you are coming and have an extension cord or any size, we desperately need extension cords! We have about 3, and plenty of power strips with multiple plug ins, but we need some extension cords to make sure can power setups that just need that extra foot or two.
So, I was on my way to pick my friends up at 6:30am in downtown portland, 5 minutes away from their house. I call him to say I’m almost there. He picks up the phone and says hes not going. I drove over an hour to get there and stayed at a friends to go to this tourny. I planned on going for the last month with them and 5 minutes from the house he says hes not going. Now, I would have still gone, but I got up specifically at 6am so that we could leave by 7 to get to THEIR smash tourny early. I would have had to wait 8 hours for SF4 to start so I turned home and here I am ranting to you people who probably don’t care.
I can’t even describe how disappointed I am that I didn’t make it and I pre-regged. Speaking of which, if there is any way I could get a refund that would put a very tiny positive on what has become a very terrible day.
Take a nap, then drive up for SFIV. That way, not all is lost.
I thought about it, but I already drove back home and don’t want to drive 10 more hours today by myself.
Also, its very disheartening when a plan a month in the works gets shit on for no reason.
Hanging out with Smash players is worse than me not getting the day off today to go NWM. Real Talk.
