It ultimately comes down to the main question of does your stick feel different or are you used to your stick.
If you are used to your stick due to spring tension or layout or whatever, and you can bring it, your best bet is to bring it.
Yah dude, this is the real thing, not casuals. You gotta stick with the character you know and the hardware you know. Though if you end up not wanting to, bring it and let me use it : ) haha I think I’d prefer an SE with sanwas over a TE anyhow.
Wild card team will comprise of all players who did not make it and will be hand picked by me. 4 teams is big and long enough since this will be a round robin tournament.

Plus the last thing anyone wants to hear is someone crying about how they lost because the stick they used was different or whatever.

I think a 4 man 5v5 team would be goofy, but a 6 or 8 team would make more sense.

Paullee, what do you think of an 8 team bracket of “crews” then?
In my experience(we did quite a few 5v5s in the midwest) A bracket is more entertaining than a round robin because people don’t have to see the same players play as often.
EDIT: Though a round robin certainly has more finality for the victors.

Is there really even enough time for an event like this to happen? This idea should’ve been presented during the brainstorming process of NWM 09, not like, 2,3 days before the event.

If it is round robin than less teams would be better…if you DO get more/allow more teams than a bracket style single elim would work too.

This is going to have to go down in the casuals area. You can do it on a big TV (Kenny is bringing a nice one, like last year) but it can’t take up to many setups. Even if its hype, the point of casuals is casuals, so people still need to be able to play the games they want.
If we end up having a ton of causal setups (which is up to you guys and what you bring) we can see if we can designate some for this, but people being able to play and have fun when not in tournament is top priority. That includes all games.
