Awwwwwwww
The website schedule hasn’t been updated. Check the schedule in the first post. BB and GG are both in the morning.
i lol’d irl
“cuuz” wtf
i unfortunately cannot be there, due to work. but im tryin to kick it afterwards. maybe not in tacoma though hahaha
Man, both you and Mandel gotta work that day? That’s some bullshit.
HK BISTRO AFTER NWM?! Sounds like a plan???
well im registered!! hopefully I dont have to show up till around the time my tourney starts or would i have to show up for the initial registration time???
Im thinking of dropping by & entering but was wondering what system is ST Remix going to be for? Are stick provided or do you bring your own?
Xbox. Sticks aren’t “provided” but if you’re nice people may let you borrow theirs.
Yup Pat’s right. I won’t be attending this year unfortunately. What really sucks is that I was so amped for SFIV at NWM that the fact that I couldn’t go, basically killed my motivation to play SFIV. Real sad times man.
BTW, I woulda accepted that money match for old times sake. I think you woulda got Dr.Doom though lol.
Someone coming from the north should bring me bottles of Everclear. It’s been a while. Plus, I’ll need something to fuel me through the day’s events. The old man needs his medicine.
We should be better in any possible future about ensuring that locals register. Someone asked me if we really only had 5 people showing up for Marvel and zero for Smash. That doesn’t encourage out of towners when people are too lazy. Pre-registering early is a small but effective way of showing your support. =\
I just registered Monday, so I have no room to talk myself. But: food for thought.
No. You bring up a valid point for discussion, didn’t matter if you registered this past Monday. It’s still a lot earlier than most of the regulars in our group.
I’m wondering why the perk of “x dollars off if you pre-register” is never enough for a lot of the local peeps to just register ahead of time. You pay ahead, you don’t have to stand in line on the day-of. AND YOU SAVE A COUPLE OF BUCKS. Less standing in line to register = more time standing in line to play games. That’s always been enough for me. And I don’t win any of these things, so it’s not like I’m all “you all better pre-register so I can take all your money”. It’s more like “you all better pre-register so I know who is actually going and I can prepare myself.”
Except for the people that are notoriously procrastinators coughRowcough, having to pay ahead of time is a hurdle for some. Not because of the money but because of the “hassle” of entering all that info in, etc. Note that I don’t subscribe to this mentality myself, but I know others do.
If the intent is to get an idea of how many people are going to show up, then I’d recommend the path of least resistance which is a form with Name, Handle and checkboxes for games. Yes, some people might not show but I’d argue that in this scene that number is far lower than the people that will show up Saturday to register and pay.
Just make it like EVO next year, pre registration only…?
I pre-regged two days ago, but my account has still not been charged, should I be worried about it?
Okay, I’ve just cleared it with Brent, I will be hosting a 5v5 Exhibition for SF4 probably right before the actual tourney. There will be 4 teams: Seattle, Portland, BC, and Wild Card.
(Side note to captains, if you don’t want this responsibility or can’t make it then please let me know on here and I will find someone else to replace you. Also, please choose from the best in your area of those who are coming, obviously.)
Captains: Seattle: Jason Cole, Portland: Lord BBH, BC: ScrubyDan, Wild Card: Paullee
Like EVO the captains of there respective teams do not need to be on the team itself, that said I myself will probably not be on team wildcard but I will decide at NWM of those who are not on any other team.
EDIT: You don’t need to let me know of your choices till the tournament is about to start but please make sure your team mates are around for it.
Yo dude there like needs to be more than one Seattle time. Sort of like Socal/Norcal.
I know I’m not getting picked.
Good stuff for running this ish Paul. I’m assuming it will go on during 1 of the breaks in the tournament area, or will it be assembled in the Casual cats area?
I was just thinking this:
There are going to be a lot of people from Washington here. Enough for two teams to be a good idea.
I say the wild card team should be comprised of the top five placers that aren’t already on a team. Or some sort of team should be made that way at least.
That sounds pretty cool Paul Lee. Looking forward to that event
