Northwest Majors '09 - Saturday, August 22nd- Landmark Convention Center, Tacoma, WA

Yeah, he’s not allowed in tournament play, according to Evo rules.

Brent I don’t know if you talked to Trent or not, but it was going to cost him too much money to change his flight down to san diego, so he won’t be DJ’ing the event =[. The good news is he’ll let us use his mixer so all we’ll need is speakers and mics. Sorry that this is like coming a week and a half before the event man. He did say platinum records in Seattle can rent out speakers and mics.

guitar center does rentals too . probably much cheaper than platinum, unless you get the homey hook up. Ive got a pretty subwoofer you guys could borrow if need be . Just let me know and ill hook it up.

So for some bitch ass reason I didn’t get the day off, so I will be trying to switch shifts with someone at my work until then. -_-

You should just walk out Heavy D style and say…

“I’m HEAVY D BITCH! I don’t GIVE A FUCK!”

can’t wait till NWM. time to practice my ass off.

It’s cool man. We’ll do some footwork and make it happen. The tournament is going to be great.

I am calling guitar center as I write this sentence.

It would suck if you couldn’t make it man. :xeye: Hope you make it work.

Also, just to reiterate, keep letting everyone you know, know about the tournament. There were a few cats at Gameworks last night who hadn’t heard about it! We need to make sure those guys are all in the know!

A guy came to my window at work and saw the flier I posted and that there was going to be smash brothers. I encouraged him to come and he said he was interested. I hope he shows up!

Sweet!

I’ve been telling everyone I run into at GW about NWM

I still can’t believe someone stole flyers

So I just called Platinum Records. It is 100 to rent two 2 1/2 foot powered speakers (no amp neccesary) for the day, and 5 dollars for each mic, which comes with XLR cables (which is great). That is suprisingly cheap. The catch is that there is a 700 dollar deposit. The deposit will comeback, as deposits usually do, but that is just another step in renting them.

The total event cost with renting the speakers will be about 2,400. The whole plan was to break fairly even around 2,000-2,100 or so, that pushes the total up a bit. Not to high, but we need to be careful as costs can keep climbing. Not sure if we should go with it yet.

I am borrowing a projector from a friend, and it should be decent quality. I know it can connect to a 360, but I am getting a hold of him to find out how it will do for PS2.

How many mics would you need I have a couple mics and cables I can bring if you want to save a few bucks.

The question I should ask is do want the mics to have an on off switch. My mics do not have on off.

We can just pull the cable if we want them off or turn off the mixer. Those should be perfectly fine. Thanks V. You wouldn’t happen to have small table stands for them would you?

Now we just need the speakers, and possibly an amp depending on what kind they are.

Ok sounds good I will bring 2 mics and 2 cables.

Looking forward to this. The Brawl and Melee crews should be pretty big… I expect 40ish Brawl and 25-30 for Melee. We could go well over that though.

I will bring 4 TVs from GameClucks and I have 4 or 5 others from the Smash Community bringing TVs and Wiis also.

I don’t have any way to make an electronic transaction Brent, is there anyway I can register and like pay you? Are you stopping by Pats tomorrow?

People should sign up online if they haven’t already. (Me too, admittedly.)

I’ve got a similar problem, I have a Paypal account but I don’t have enough funds in there at the moment to cover pre-reg costs haha. Short of getting someone else to lend me a little bit (which I promise I would pay back in person), is there any way to get around the late registration fee? (I’m planning on entering SF4, STHD, KOF XII)

Hope you guys don’t mind, I reposted the links and information on Ignition One’s forums.
