Northwest Majors '09 - Saturday, August 22nd- Landmark Convention Center, Tacoma, WA

Yeah, most of the smashers are aware of the tournament. There’s three, myself included, coming from Canada, as well as the regional NW corner regulars from WA, ID, and OR. Maybe OR might not be coming, but I;'m sure they are too.

Overall, it’ll be about 50ish total, I’m guessing, about 40 for brawl and 20 for melee.

But for Brent, smashers are getting a different room, right? How close will they be? I plan on entering Melee + SF4 +3S + GG, and I’m just wondering if I’ll be able to hear my matches called when I have to transfer from room to room.

Also while I’m asking questions, how much are TEs in stores in America? They’re 190$ (210$ with tax, yeowch!) CAD here, and I’d almost rather just pay the money to get it over there plus the duty fee if there is one (gotta look it up.) How much is the tax over there, too?

Edit: This isn’t losing hype is it? The thread is a lot slower now.

In Oregon they’re going around 150 (if I can find them) and theres no tax in this state.

Newegg has them for the same price as well, it’s so tempting but I think I’d quickly be single if I dropped 130$ on another joystick.

Hey Brent, I just registered on the NWM website. Didn’t know where I was supposed to provide my location/handle/name and such. OH and also, when I clicked the Add to Cart under SF4, it charged me a quantity of 2 (10.25) for sf4; is it safe to assume that second payment was for the event fee? Or do I still need to pay for that… ?
