Regarding registration: Sent Brent an email but basically I didn’t see any point during the payment process to enter in notes like nick and location. Posting here in case he doesn’t check that email very often.

Brent, the quarter officially ends the Friday before the tournament. I’m not sure we can still check out equipment during the off quarter, but you’ll have to check with them.
You have to check it out before the last day of the quarter, then hang onto it. Return it after the event. It’ll technically be a late return, and you’ll be barred from loaning any equipment or library books for the first 30 days of fall quarter. But there will be no monetary fine, me thinks.
It’s not as though that equipment will be missed during the break. I don’t think they’ll be desperate to have it back in between quarters.
I called today to check and they said they have a very strict policy on returning after the quarter, so we may have to look into another way to get a projector. Unless I can get a favor from some of the people I know who work there (not likely, since STF is sort of stuffy) it would be a full quarter to year long restriction on renting.
Whether or not you have EVER rented, I still wouldn’t want you to get on anyones bad side about it. I may travel down there sometime this week and ask in person, but for now, I think we need to go a different route.
If anyone knows someone who owns a projector that could run well for the day, please post up about it.

Throwing this here. I am going to get some of these printed up (probably black and white for now) and have them on hand from now until the tournament to hand out to people. If anyone wants to have some to hand out to friends, let me know and I will get some to you.
Other flyers are welcome also if you have a good idea for one.

So far I only have one opponent pre-reg’d for KOFXII. I still don’t feel comfortable enough to claim any guarantee higher than Top 8.

Sent a PM to Seth Killian asking for a shoutout on Capcom Unity, and an email to Tycho from PA asking for a small one-line mention if he can spare it.
Guess we’ll see what happens.
UPDATE: so trent (dj zebra mischief) is down to provide mics, and a sound system! He’s also down to dj too. I told him about the 2 breaks we have from the schedule. Maybe provide some sound filler between the finals like evo did. I’ll pm his number to you brent when I get home from work.
Awesome Frank! There is a stipulation with DJ’s for the venue, but if he is only playing some filler music between breaks (if they happen) then it shouldn’t be a problem. I mentioned to one of the venue reps that we would be having a DJ come in to provide the sound equipment, but he would not be “DJing” the event, as the entertainment. They said that would be fine, and I don’t think they can fault us for playing some brief filler music.
Here is what the contract says about DJ’s-
DJ’s / Music: There is a charge of $195.00 if outside entertainment is brought in.
So we need to stress that he is NOT providing the entertainment.
