I think Brent does?
All PS3 systems need to say “You have not earned a trophy” lulz
Axel is the owner of the website and the man with the most mastery to update it. I am able to update current registrations because he showed where to put them in the HTML code.
I don’t think I can go! Its my grandma’s 70th (weird my grandma is really young) anyway yeah I think I have to go to that… : (
Mostly technical services. Repair/Refurb of Wiis and DS Lites, DSis. Also outsourced (Aerotek) warehouse line work for overflow from the North Bend facility. Then there is the technical support section, which is where my cubicle sits.
But that’s off topic. If someone can put up a pdf of a flyer like last year I will be more than happy to distribute them both at work and around downtown Seattle. I walk home from downtown and go right through the Seattle Center area every day.
I can update the site, or I can give ftp credentials to someone else who is able to
What needs to go up?
Fellows,
I know everyone is tired from Evo. But I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that how we run Northwest Majors this year is directly linked to our performance at Evo. This tournament is literally “Team Northwest Part 2” as far as the national stage is concerned. It is not just about how individuals will perform at the tournament, but also about how we run the tournament, and about how much hype we can build up. Take the MOMENTUM from Evo and keep going! Don’t sit around waiting for the next Evo!
The hype for our region that was at Evo seems strangely absent right now. Northwest Majors is our chance to establish a locally built yearly competition! How can we be taken seriously if everyone signs up 3 days before the tourny like at Gameworks??
SIGN UP. How is it that I saw 10-20 NW shirts at Evo and only 6 people are signed up for NWM…? Are we always going to rely on other regions to build hype for us…?
Nick
Welcome to our scene. Everyone waits til the last minute.
People are definitely hyped for NWM, just check how much its been mentioned by different people since Evo.
Not to say people shouldnt pre-reg, I want to figure out if I want to enter anything else before doing so.
Frank, have you talked to your boss recently about the sound equipment. We will need to hear back on that pretty soon.
Also, does anyone want to make a video trailer sometime soon. Two things that would really help would be a write-up of the last tournament and advertisement for this years that we could put on the front page of Shoryuken/CapcomUnity, and video trailer with highlights from last year and info.
True. I just want NWM to be RIGHT NOW. haha. I’m pretty hyped up still from evo.
Animate that and put the data in there. Date + location and then it’d rock.
(needs to buy good image editing tools one day…)
I heard brawl got added to the lineup…eew.
i’ve got some hella n00b questions about NWM that i only just thought of recently (evo causes a lot of things to happen lol)
-…what console is everything going to be on? not worried too much since there isn’t really much difference and can always borrow sticks but for example 3rd strike? do i have to lug around an extra stick on this day?
-how much room/outlets is there for people’s own setups? like if some people wanted to set something up (maybe even a side tourney) for some game that isn’t being officially ran…
-this is more just for you brent but my mom is a semi-professional photographer and i dunno if she’s looking to make a little extra change since she got laid off recently or she just wants a pass or something to be able to get on stage for good pictures (which would be uploaded of course) and etc but i guess thats more of a thing you and me can figure out on our own later
There will be room, then some more room, and then some more room after that, and then some room left over if you want to get a side set-up going. We have enough room for about 12-14 side setups in the casuals area. Smash is going to be occupy a section of it to run tournaments all day. This is taking Melee out of the main floor line-up so it will be easier to run the remaining 7 games on PS2 and X-Bahx without switching. It is also adding Brawl, and doubles and singles to the tournament.
The casualsre area is divided into 4 large sections, and each section has enough power in to run 3-4 TVs and systems, and we can have a few cabs setup against the wall (different circuits) if anyone is bringing one.
I would really love to see that many casual setups at the event. Not enough casuals was a problem at last years Major, and I’d like to see everyone getting a good chance to constantly play this year.
Is there melee doubles? or only singles?
Doubles and Singles. Chris is running them all day.
Have the rules for BB have been decided or up yet?
I’m not sure if this is covered or not, but are we going to be recording all the matches? And if so, are they going to be recorded in HD?
I was hoping for this:
I have the logo now:
