Man, those aren’t fitting too well. NO! Your not wasting your time at all. There is still a ton to do, and its damn invigorating seeing someone work on it. The AV’s you made last year were amazing, and we are going to need them again this year. I think we may be better off only using logos in animated Gifs, and leaving still AV’s to last years format. There just isn’t enough room.
For Gifs I think we should go with Elliots logo. I don’t know how hard Gifs are to make, but if we set it up something like
Image 1 - Character
/Slash Effect into/
Image 2 - Logo
Change (no Effect)
Image 3 - Info on Solid background
Then we could just insert each person character into it, and make them personal with no hassle.

Anyhow, when you say template, are you talking about the template for the kind of avatar I currently have? If you have messenger, we might be able to get this done faster. I love the AV I have right now. I would only change it by including the logo.
I personally like the layout from last years non-moving AV’s. Character pic and text is great, and give a lot of individuality and variety. Logos seem just to big for non-moving AV’s.

If someone can hook me up with some SF4 art or where to find it, I could see if I can whip up some avatars too for some variety. It does have other games though so I’ll make some third strike ones and whatnot.
The template is for making animated gif avatars, yes.
It seems like a nice way to make the avatars more eye-catching and cool, and to incorporate a lot of text without obliterating art and individuality between avatars.
Some other transitions (besides the x-slashes) might also be cool, but it might depend on if anybody else wants to take the time to do that. I probably won’t be interested in making more than two or three, but i dunno.
Mr. Mechanica, I feel like your avatar is missing a LAZER (having previously been charged). If you need a played-out, yet still somewhat offensive version of your avatar, I think I know how you could make one.

Agreed. I just don’t want to ask to much, like, MAKE 100 SMALL MOVIES! I’m clueless about how they are made. If I knew, I would spend countless hours making random things happen and uploading them.
Your sporting it already, unless you want a moving one. Just need to change Seattle to Tacoma. More Visible Font might be better also.

I like the logo on the site. It is simple and clean. Elliot’s are hella pro, those would be tight to put on a big ass banner. Regardless of personal tastes, there is a good pool of talent around these parts. The only thing I don’t like is the graffiti look, that shit is hella 1999. This is the future.

It looked weird to have roll, and then slashing, so she gets a heart iris. It’s kind of sloppy. :S
Of course, one of the really neat things about doing it this way is that I hope people will go ahead and try making their own avatars. It’s pretty easy, and all of the pieces are already set up. Want an icon with Iori on it? Paste him in, save as a gif. Want to use Elliot’s logo? Want to change the transition? Want to make some less-sucky text? It’s easy to find the frame you want and change it.
You could also take your existing avatar, and have it transition from that. That would be kinda cool.

You bring your own stick, but you don’t HAVE to play on stick if you’re more comfortable on pad.
I am not 100% sure of the consoles for every game, but more people in Seattle have 360 than PS3, so for SFIV I believe it will be on 360 unlike evo which is on PS3. Also, Remix is on 360.

Unlimited02 brings up a good point Brent, this information is not available on northwest majors website (just checked), and it might not be obvious to people that haven’t attended a major before that they should bring their own stick, and also which system each game is on. :tup:
