Seems like there are some HoN players here in the Northwest so I figure this would be a cool thread for HoN discussion, tournament announcements, and a way to find more HoN players in the Northwest 
Heroes of Newerth
Heroes of Newerth is a new game by S2 that is very much like Defense of the Ancients (DotA) and features vibrant graphics, improved interface, and lots of community and competitive features including tournaments and in-game voice chat.
HoN offers the more hardcore experience of its style of gaming with a highly competitive community, a true-to-DotA gameplay with improvements, and high-end graphics.
HoN is available for both PC and Mac.

Well, I don’t play HoN, but seeing how there are some HoN players here and Gameclucks is running events, I thought it might be a good idea to startup a thread for it too. After all the years of friends (and family in Thailand) bugging me to play DotA, I finally understand why these games are so great
I don’t know if I’ll get into HoN for awhile, but at least a good community would be encouraging and the game looks quite good.

Kinda funny how the OP is hyping up a game he doesn’t play, and doesn’t even offer a link to the game… just says “it’s like dota” and “it’s pretty”.
Well, there were a few HoN posts in the League of Legends thread so I figured there was a HoN community that wanted to have a place to talk about the game. So I took the initiative to setup a thread for it.
Famous Nate & Rooster seemed to be HoN players. A couple of people were interested in the game too (though wishing there was a demo). And Gameclucks holds tournaments for the game.
HoN seems like a good game, I didn’t want their players to be misunderstood as trolls.

Big announcement tomorrow: Valve/Icefrog are revealing their game tomorrow via Game Informer. That game is supposed to be the new DOTA.

That said, everyone knows how much I love League of Legends. But looking forward to seeing what Icefrog’s team at Valve has been working on. For those that don’t know Icefrog was the most recent developer working on the DotA All-Stars Map (Guinsoo who works on LoL was working on DotA All-Stars before him). Icefrog has a lot of loyal fans, especially among people that play DotA and HoN. So tomorrow’s reveal is big news.
I bet HoN runs better in general, though.
