Eric’s list is just a list of potential tourney players at this point in time any ways. People always come in and dip out at the last minute before a tourney even with pre regs. I would assume with the numbers 3S usually gets that more people are definitely going to sign up. There’s always less people that sign up for singles compared to teams. Teams takes so long to finish that I think people usually get winded out and the rest of the 3S pack realizes they don’t have much of a chance in singles and dip out.
Like last year IIRC there was only like 40 something people for singles as opposed to near 50 or 60 for teams. People get hype for teams and then burn out by singles time and the numbers drop. Teams is cheaper per person than singles also so I think that contributes as well. People know they’re gonna have more fun for less money when they do teams especially if they’re not that good. I’ve noticed during last 2 NEC’s that randoms will just dip out by time singles roll around. East coast has a decent 3S scene as far as numbers but the numbers don’t really get big for the game unless you get numbers from the south and mid west as well. Other games IMO tend to be bigger if you’re only pulling northeast/mid atlantic numbers.

Hey I’m gonna have to change my pre-reg list for now eric, something came up for me on saturday so I’m gonna have to drop out (for now) on 3S, 3S Teams, cvs2 teams and cvs2. I’m still on for ST on sunday though.
