I want to have a certain level of transparency so people know what’s being done and how the money is being handled properly and all money donated is going to streams, prizes, event expenses, etc and nothing else. So after doing some research I’ve come up with a the items we will need for streaming as well as totals for what we have now.
Currently we have collected $145 for Streaming Equipment.
1. AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR ($108.86 shipped Via NewEgg)
This is MILES above what the BlitzCast can do and offers, IMO, the best setup. See with this we can split the signal, and 1 goes to a PC the other into TV. This is the best solution to avoid potential input lag. To boot it’s $50 LESS! Sad thing is I’m gonna have to lug my computer around to these events, but it’s a small price to pay. It’s a small tower so it shouldn’t be too hard. I did the application to BlitzCast to sponsor us so if that pops up it’ll be a nice addition. This HAS BEEN ORDERED.
2. 4-Way Component Video Distribution Amplifier ($43.29, Tax included Via Radio Shack)
I actually did not know this. I just figured we could just split the signal but problem is it’ll cause a noticeable input lag. So the best way combat this is with this. It’s cool cause we can also setup a back to back setup for players fighting it out. We can do some cool setups, something we have to figure out.
3. 5 RCA RGB Audio Video AV Component to VGA Cable ($2.99 - $50)
This is something I’ll reach out to everyone for. If you have these cables please bring them, I found some on Amazon but the quality of them looks sketchy. I’m not looking to buy Monster $50 ones but $2.99 seems too good to true.
- Audio Mixer
This one is surprisingly has been tough for me to find. At least at a cheap price. I’m reaching out to you Crayons, you are the music man, put the feelers out so we can get a “enough” mixer to hook up a few crappy mics to do Commentary. Not looking for anything to and anything more than 2 channels is a plus but never neccessary. I have a buddy who I did a podcast with who doesn’t do anymore but may still have the equipment. I’ll see if he is willing to part with and give me back my mic. =P
This will be what we will need for our MAIN STAGE setup. This will be or Winners, losers and grand finals and random streamed matches throughout.

The one I have is just a straight HDMI cable says it gives audio, and picture but having not opened or even used it I cannot attest to that. I’ll still bring it along though.
EDIT: There’s no typical A/V cable as far as I know, im not very tech savvy. It’s a wirelogic HDMI bundle thing.

Hey being that the premiere OFC stream is happening at your house? Where do you think we should stream the matches from? I’m thinking Garage… Plenty of space to setup my computer on the side and players can go at it within feet from me… I’ll most likely show up super early to setup.

Site functionality is really important so I would be curious what you can do… The enjin software is very powerful and allows a lot of things to be enabled easily. Having a domain fwd to an enjin would be an easy and good looking answer. What I dont want to happen is have 2 sites and confusing ppl…worked too hard to have fragmentation.
The streaming thing will be cool, we need able commentators…oh and viewers! Lol

thw garage is usually where the offshoot games are being played… I would be concerned about noise since the garage door doesnt provide insulation…
we can try a few different spots and see what works best. I have an idea on how to get it set up on main screen… just need to move couches a bit.

Well I’m not sure just as of yet, we haven’t really even settled on a domain as of yet. I’m from the school of, if I can think of it, I can build it. From what I’ve read it is powerful but nothing that they have isn’t anything I can’t incorporate. Its child’s play for me. Also have to consider the system we discussed, which would interwoven with the site and on that end I need to have admin access to a server but that way into the future. I think a good 1st step would be determining a domain name then FWDing it to where it i needs to go, then slowly build the site from there. As of right now, I will continue to research enjin, and see what we can do and how much it allows me to pick and mod it.
Lastly what designs? The logo? I’m set on the font just not the swoop and the background splash. I need it to be cleaner and be able to stand alone. Have few more revisions…
Whatever is easiest for you, and I’ll make it a point to come early to help setup.
