Given who is playing KOF, and playing it seriously, it matters. Those finals were hype.

At least I won some matches, was afraid I’d go two and out.

Next year, if I’m still around, I’m going to try to do better, and I know to stay the extra day and not arrive on Thursday. Also only pre-enter one game.

Good stuff to everybody that went FR. Shout out to Wolfkrone for put it down on JUSTIN in AE!!! 1ST PLACE!

On the way back from F.R. now. This Weekend was ah fucking Blast! I learned so much about KOF this Weekend that I feel like I bearly even knew how to play the Game be4. The Ceiling for this Game is ALOT higher then I previously thought. I suppose that showed in top 16 cause I got Blow’d da fuck up by Clark but you Live & You Learn I guess. LOL! Shouts out to Reynald & Duc for coming by & Boding Us Friday & Saturday night. LOL! Those fucking Guys are INSANE!!! But as good as they both are @ KOF, there even cooler people. They pretty much held KOF Study-Hall in that bitch. LOL! Teaching Us some of the small details about the Game that help make them such good Players. But We all got drunk as fuck and was wild’n out too. The shit was BEAST MODE! LOL! Good shit for making top 8 too, Roski! “BLOW’D UP!!!” LMAO!

Just throwing this out here but I am running a session tonight for a pre-midnight release of SFxT. Things are starting out at 7pm. As for Tuesday night I will running a session after I get outta work starting at 830 pm. The focuses will be SFxT, UMvC3, and KOF. All I need from someone dropping by is a PS3 with a power cord and their own stick/pad lol Good shit at FR everybody!!!

Even though I don’t play KOFXIII, I enjoyed watching top 16 for it yesterday

Juicebox’s commentary was hilarious.

Twelve DLC characters for SFxT? That’s a bit much. I was considering purchasing the game with all of the good reactions it’s been getting as of late, but this pretty much secures my decision to stay away from this one.

Not sure how they will go about selling this, but anyway you look at it the game will cost $80+.

I fully support DLC when done in a way that** expands the game** , a great example of that is Borderlands. I loved the way they handled DLC, purchased every single one and would purchase more.

TWELVE CHARACTERS in a fighting game is not expanding the game, It’s crippling it.** Capcom needs to find a better alternative to generate more revenue from titles because if they are doing 12 characters as DLC right now, I’d hate to see what they will be doing next year and the year after. That’s a huge amount of characters to practice against, get familiar with and to make available on tournament consoles.

I would have been much happier if they made certain modes DLC (scramble for example) and other things that could have expanded the game, using that development time on characters and the like.

In the time it took you to write that, Capcom probably just made $8,000.

Tournament comes around, cha-CHING. Have fun with this game TOs.

12 chars at 5 dollars per? CASHCOM!

Hey what’s up N.C. Just swinging through to see if there was any kind of scene in Asheville? I may be relocating there and was just wondering were their any other FG players there. If not, where is the closet scene??

Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC are likely your best bet. There are some guys up on Boone, NC you might be able to get up with as well.

Nah it will only be $2.99 for a two pack. That will be one Tekken and one SF character per pack. That makes 6 packs at $18. Not bad but it’s still nickle and dimming the shit out of us. Ugh, it’s going to be a pain in the ass running this game at my tourneys later.

Good to see everyone this weekend. I wish I had more time to make it out to everyone’s room but you know how FR goes, you never know where you’ll end up from time to time lol.

NC rep was in full force for sure!!
Top 8 for KOF: Roski
17th in AE: Tactiks
17th in Marvel: TH|LowTierFear
Top 8 in Tekken: Ace Unimited
Top 8 in 3S: Knuckledust and Face
If I missed some I am sorry. I don’t know what everyone plays

That’s pretty good showing for us so far. Expect some serious training sessions at the RanBats when we all can get together and go over things.

I was so busy promoting Rockem Sockem this weekend and my placement in AE got the attention of some better known players. Talking with so many people about ReSe that it’s going to take me a week just to get through all the numbers and emails. Exciting things coming soon!!

Shout outs to Roski for introducing me to Gummo this weekend. Talking with him and he would like to come back out and mod sticks for us at the tourneys. He just needs conformation of at least 3 stick mods to make it worth the cost of driving out. If you need any stick work done PM me so I can know how many I have.

March 17th is the next ReSe and will be so damn hype with the release of SFxT. Can’t wait to see what kind of tech we come up with.

See you guys soon.

GOOD JOB NC!!

We keep this momentum up and we will be on the map in no time. Talking with people this weekend I can tell you that people have noticed us and Rockem Sockem is getting known very fast  lol, I looking into a new and larger venue for Aprils tourney cause we are about to hit 100 people on a monthly scale. I will announce more on that later when I have some solid facts.

See you guys on the 14th for the first day of the RanBats. Please check out the details if you have not already. We will be playing everything that everyone wants to play. I will be bringing my systems and monitors so bring a system and games and let’s level up. Looks like I am getting the Charlotte guys to come out to play Tekken so we may have a RanBat for that!!

Alright I am rambling, too much info going on in my head right now. I need to go sort it all out lol.

17th - Jon Slayton in KoF as well.

This weekend was a blast, just gonna repost what I said on facebook:

**Great weekend in Atlanta, had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Got to play a lot of good people and see how I stacked up. Lots of funny stories but I’m too tired to type it all out, so here’s the results:

KoF:
Was in Bala’s pool (the guy that won the whole tournament undefeated), lost to him in winners finals but then made it out of my pool in losers after a huge hype match in losers. Long story but I ended up in a different room sleeping after a late night, alarm clock set on phone with green battery, but somehow it dies anyway and I end up oversleeping my match in top 16 by literally like… 10 minutes. Sucks ass, definitely could have placed higher (atleast a spot or two) but it’s all good. Got up with Reynald in the NC room the next two nights and just played and learned, had a blast joking around and money matching and what not. Was fun being in the Reynald fan club. BLOWWWWWN UPPPPPPPPP!

MVC3:
Was in Kusoru’s pool, aka the guy that won the tournament, and Fillipino Champ, the guy who beat me in teams. Both were really strong run away players, and that style counters my team pretty hard, as well as me as a player. Really unfortunate for me since I saw a lot of the other NC players in easier brackets. Money matched a couple of the guys in the top 16 the next day and did great vs them, so I don’t feel bad about it, I just feel like the results weren’t indicative of my skill. But that’s the luck with brackets, sometimes it’s random. If anything though, it exposed a weakness in my team I need to address.

SCV:
Did great in this. Fought Dreamkiller first round, he’s the guy who won the brackets (seriously, my luck this weekend… lol), but I did awesome against him. After the first match I felt like I had a really good read on him, I was calm and he was nervous and making a lot of mistakes. We took it to the last round of the last match with really low health (like 5%), and he had switched to Natsu. I knew he was gonna B throw with her because every Natsu player does the command throw, mashed B to break when he went to throw but I ate the grab anyway. Someone told me after you can’t mash to get out of throws so… god damnit. Oh well. Lost to a good nightmare player in or near losers finals. Not sure exactly where I was at but it was deep in the pools.

My converter randomly stopped working Sunday though, kinda pissed about that. I really hope I can fix it because I’m not really feeling buying another one. Shit is getting old. Maybe I’ll just buy a stick -_-

Overall, was awesome making it to day two finals but unfortunate that bad luck kept me from playing. Roski helped carry the torch and made it into the top 8 I believe. Darrell ended up getting the same place as me. Good shit to NC and thanks for all of your hard work.

LETS KEEP PUSHING FOR THE TOP!**

Actually You & I tied for 13th Place Jon. Not too bad to make it out of Pools & into the 2nd day of top 16 but I most certainly want to get further next time. We need each others help as far as training goes to do that though.

Yeah, I was in at 17th, and I think Demo and James finished at 25th. Good shit to all of our KOF players. Next time we won’t get quite so BLOWWWWEEDDDDDD UP.

Having played SFxT at its midnight release (convinced the local Gamestop to let my club run a release tournament, which I won), I can honestly say it’s a fun game which seems to have a ton of depth. Really not looking forwards to DLC gems though. Ugh.

I’m expecting more of an “AE” type thing, where we get all the DLC characters at the same time (plus a balance patch?) for $15-$20, personally. 12 characters at $5 a pop is going to be a massive drain on TOs if it happens.

I know one guy in Asheville who plays fighting games - mostly 3S.

Very good showing by NC this weekend. Got blown up in SC5 by Jordan and Jon.

Somehow managed to get 4th in VF5:FS on Sunday. hahaha. (I was hungry for that Tshirt)

Wow as much as I don’t want to buy SFxT , my hate for charge characters will not let me skip this one. The thought of playing raven and teleporting behind guiles and bisons making them lose their charge and getting in easily to force them to fight is just to exciting.

Final Round was a blast I am so glad I went. Learned so much about KoF13 that its staggering.

Hitting the lab hard this week and I am going to get the execution stuff I was failing hard at Final Round down (lol Elizabeth ex step -> command grab fail x 50) so when I get back in Raleigh next week its going to be gametime again.
