well no EZ for me today…silly weather shifts. i woke up feeling like i got hit by a cement truck. gonna lay it back down and overdose on vitamin C and down a bottle of nyquil.

I’m quite a defensive player and I have no qualms with XIII. I can do HD combos though ;p
Burning the activation only happens roughly once a match, and they have to earn that opening. I like Athena and thinks she zones fairly well, and having a DP and invincible command throw solidifies her game, and she’s the only character I know of that can do command throw > HD activate upon confirm. The old psycho ball > Crystal Bit if they jump stuff still works great.
Still no weekend events for me, visiting with my parents again since mom’s still sick. I will be at FR though, and I still play during the week. Pretty much all SCV right now, but I’m still counting myself mostly a KOF player right now I think. Arcana can’t seem to get things together, largely due to my own situation.

Think I’ll chill on the EZ’s in the future. Today was really disappointing. Found myself wishing I had stayed in Raleigh and just went to Percivals session. Still, getting to play DP in Marvel and JasonL in Calibur was probably worth the drive, even if I could have ran a bigger tourney in my apartment lol.
KoF, you can definitely play somewhat defensively. I’m normally an offensive player but I lame out quite a lot in that game, especially with Duo Lon. I kept Takuma on my team today and he definitely saved me in grand finals. My weakest link was definitely Kensou, I really dunno how to open people up with him. I guess he’s meant to be played more defensively.
Athena can do this, EX only?
Athena’s DP seems to have crap horizontal range- so it misses plenty the few times I tried her.

Yeah, definitely GGs to everyone yesterday. Lots of KOF and got to play GG for the first time in a loooooong time. Would definitely like to do it again soon.
So I’m thinking of doing a last minute “get the fuck ready” gathering and just opening my apartment all day tuesday for people to come out and train for FR. Who would be interested if I did that, and would the early starting time be of interest?
