To use my favorite analogies (food)–it’s like I know you guys are all excited about your bologna and cheese on wonder bread (KOF 13) after years of eating shit sandwiches (SF4, KOF 12, etc.).

The thing is I’ve been eating Philly Cheesesteaks made with freshly sliced Prime Rib (w/ a side of Au Jus) and Reuben Sandwiches with Corned Beef and Pastrami on an Onion Roll with horseradish mayo, so Bologna & Cheese isn’t going to make me very hungry.
Nor is someone coming up to me and saying “b-b-but at least it’s not a shit sandwich!!!”.

I don’t know why you would put a Bologna and Cheese sandwich in a tier below a Philly Cheesesteak and Reuben Sandwich. Bologna is amazing!!! Even though low quality and high quality bologna is the exact same thing.

Yeah, I’m not exactly putting down Bologna completely. Hell, I have a pack of deli bologna and ham in my fridge right now. When you’re hungry, it does fine in a pinch.

I won’t knock you just yet, but you are going to have to put up one hell of a fight to win with Dan. You’ve got to beat a Gen, an Akuma, a Fuerte, a Sagat, a Deejay, and a Dhalsim. Ok, maybe not all of them, but you will most likely play one of them.

Though it does kind of irritate me that ever since KOF13 came so many people are now apparently hailing it as one of the best games ever when those same people never even made an attempt at playing 2002 UM.

Hey man, I did make an attempt at playing 2002UM. I kept bringing the PS2 version out to fighting game gathering and all that shit, trying to get people to play and recognize how fucking brilliant that game was. And everytime, the only person playing it would be me. Everybody else was on that SF4 shit.

I definitely feel that KOFXIII isn’t the best KOF - but it is at the very least the most popular one by leaps and bounds in our neck of the woods. Also, unlike most other popular fighters in this time, it feels honest.

Too bad even with people picking it up in my community, they still aren’t taking it seriously. I’m already losing people to fucking SFxT, and that shit ain’t even out yet. Sometimes I want to make these guys into something, and other times I think I’m just wasting my damn time.
