Got a chance to get my hands on it tonight and had a ton of fun playing it. Nightmare seems REALLY good. A great main I would say. The wonder twins are pretty fun to play. I like Pat and Pyh reminds me of Sophi, so I dig both of them. Tatsu or whatever Taki’s apprentice’s name is is also so fun to play with. The mix ups and stuff you can do with her are fun, but I only really see her being played much in casuals. Only time will tell. The Assassin Creed guy is the only other one I can think of I really enjoyed playing.
But what someone else was telling me would you agree that it’s distance that kills a lot of characters? Characters with range can beat out others like Pat due to range, even though Pat is a good character. I know one match against Sigfried I had some issues getting in, but I worked my way around it. Once in I just tried to make sure my opponent didn’t lengthen the distance between us.
One more thing, I know Pat can but is it typical to combo into super in SCV? I mainly used it to counter, which gave me more reason to use Nightmare.
I just wanted to ask something so I don’t get it confused. If someone tries to grab me and I successfully break it I still take damage, not the person who attempted to grab me?
If that’s the case then I can kinda see where they were going with that. In Tekken it has to be a specific guard break where in SCV its just a regular break. Also makes me rethink my strategy now.
This place is a as drama filled as I remember… Played SC5 today, I like Potroklos and Lexia. Game feels dumbed down quite a bit, for casuals I guess. Either way its better that 4 was. I’ll be playing it more. The “super moves” are very strong and are kinda mashy friendly.But hey whatever. Game is still fun. Quick step is cool too. I miss the old parry system tho. (._.)…
Spent some time online today, gotta say, the online is excellent (lee thumbs up). Not only are the lobbies really nice, the connections were amazing. No lag at all with Jason or Rob.
Also the gameplay is pretty good. I still hate alexanders but I think this game might have potential, once you get past some of the initial “this is rushed” stuff.
