First day of school but gonna see about making it out if possible.

DREAMCAST WITH POWERSTONE?! What time does this thing start at EZ? Might come up just for that alone. I’ve got VF3 and MvC1 I could bring, although I’d probably only play VF out of the two. Think I’ve got RS too, but gotta check. I know I missed out on picking up a copy of CvS1 and got something else instead.
There is actually a good amount of players in Raleigh, but they all keep their events private. There is at least a MvC/SF event every week now.

Yea in December I brought up the dreamcast and it was a pretty big hit, then I basically said i’d come up to around atleast 2 ez fridays per month with the DC.
Where and I’m there? There are plenty of Raleigh players, but they usually play to themselves so its hard to get groups together. If there are events with groups of people in the area I’ll be sure to make it out.

Really? Are you referring to the people that play at Champs on Wednesday near Triangle town center? Or is there some pocket group of other players? Where did you find out about these events? o_o

Oh sweet, didn’t know you were from this area originally for some reason. I plan on playing SC5 as well and I’m on KoF a lot now, also playing Marvel. I can play SF4, although I prefer not to if I don’t have to. Also sub par in Arcana!

Yeah, these guys do as well. There are some others who do private gatherings at someones house too. It’s just not everyone, including myself up until recently, post here or make it public. You just have to hunt for the pockets I guess. 
Hmm I need to find these players lol. I’ve thought about organizing some bigger tournaments for NC in Raleigh but I feel like there’s not a big enough Raleigh player base to justify it.
I’ll try to make it out tmr. Won’t be there till after 8 though when I get off work.
If it’s a good tournament, people from all over the state will come. You might even get people from other states to come down if the pool is big enough too. If you do something simple and small, then it’s doubtful people will. I know many who head to GZ from Raleigh all the time just to get a tournament in or meet other players.
I’ve hosted many non-fighting tournaments in my time (obviously working with BLC and other games). Everything in the event has to count from the venue, to the promotion, to the games being played. If you do it right, you could pull a bunch of people from all over the state, possibly across the country and over time, even pro’s who will pull even more. But, if you’re plan is to simply post on the Shoryuken forum, hit up a hotel for a venue and do some streaming, then you more than likely wont have a turnout you would like to justify the costs/time.
Eh, NC tournaments have pulled many people from Virginia and Georgia before. Empire, Arturo, Ultradavid, and Marn have all been here in NC.
