Ed, not using the system to your best advantage is putting an arbitrary limitation on yourself. Do you think all of us like HD combos? But if I have the meter and I can kill you with it, I’m gonna do it. Don’t hold yourself back because you don’t necessarily agree with the developers design decisions. Even if you have better fundamentals, if you have to hit someone 5 times and they only have to hit you once, it doesn’t matter. Fundamentals can’t always keep you from getting hit unless there is a huge skill gap, and at high levels you can’t expect that.
This is logical and true.
I have noticed there are four combo levels that KOF XIII can be played at…
lv 1) basic combo or combo into super
lv 2) ex move combos
lv 3) drive cancel combos
lv 4) drive cancel mode combos
lv 5) drive cancel mode into super into neo max aka: (dream cancel)
With KOF you die 5 seconds in on the last round. In HnK in the last round you could die within the first second. I think we’re doing fine.

Can I get a head count on who can bring equipment? Of course we need monitors, systems, games, etc. If you want to know what we need just check the tournament thread and see what’s being hosted on what systems.
This actually makes me like KOF XIII even more now. 
Although I must say that was a really hype match to watch.
Gonna head out to Jon’s now since its too lonely here to watch One Piece. I need to practice and my execution in everything is garbage, but I’ve gotta get out the place.
Like I said earlier while Drive cancel mode combos own, a disadvantage is you don’t build meter during them and your opponent often builds alot. So in some situations it is better to spend 2 drive meter and lv2 super then it is to, HD mode into loop into neomax, assuming both will kill. This is of course more 1st and 2nd character stuff for their third character just blow them in half.
Well, i finally caught the aids thats been circling around work, on meds but will miss EZ if I feel like this tomorrow. Since I’m less than 12 hours in of feeling it, pretty sure its only getting worse.
I will forever wish that Arc makes a sequel to HnK.

YES YES YES. I wish they would make one. Sengoku Basara Cross was as close as we are gonna get I guess. Oh and the Persona 4 fighter they are working on looks BEAST!!! EGM had asked Capcom if they were willing to let ARC make a Street Fighter for all the true 2D fans. They said its possible. BBCS2 Extend is coming soon too. Have hope my friend.
@Jon: Yo, give my seat to someone else. Some pressing stuff just came up so I won’t be able to make it out to EZ unfortunately, despite not going just adds more salt to my already wounds. If you ever need a moveable training dummy just hit me up since you’re about the closest person on here to me. Need to level up as much as I can before the new year.
Really sucks I won’t be able to see any of you Fayetteville guys until after the next EZ at least hopefully, but if I do I’ll make sure my NESTS Kyo and Flame Iori don’t disappoint along with my skills haha. Had a lot of fun the last time and wanted to see the crowd for KOF XIII now, but until next time.
