It still pretty much negates any kind of jump-in tick throw attempts, since almost no one in the game has a standing overhead worth a damn.
Um, if someone is advance guarding, and you do a jump in that is blocked, then run up and do lows, they’re probably gonna get hit. Seems like a good way to dissuade them from doing AG all the time, then you can do your jump in ticks all you want. That’s why it doesn’t really bug me, there’s a pretty clear counter to it.
I think shiki means just going from high block to low block once, not mashing it. So I guess in theory you could get a bit more time of throw protection. But I don’t know if this even uses advance guard.
I’m pretty sure that is the bonkers throw protection that stops that, just seems way better to empty jump throw instead. Plus you can still tick throw after a low jab.

I was gonna import it too but at the same time I talked myself out of it because our BB scene is totally ghost and charlotte and “Team Fatal Counter” got even more people while we lost people, so I didn’t trust the local scene enough to warrant it.

And yeah, KOF has always had a lot of ways to try and sabotage the throw game, with command grab characters being the only ones able to sort of circumvent it. Even then, they don’t set up grabs in the same way you would in other fighters, at least not that I’ve seen.

As far as ReSe brackets, Brian you can seed location and “rank” at the same time. Even without that, you should have the two prior month’s brackets printed out so you can have it randomly re-seed or perhaps make manual adjustments.
I…sorta like the Athena voice. The other two suck though. How is this accessed? Is it just a default option or does it require unlocking? Also, is it per character or an on/off switch for the whole cast.

i like UMVC3 and KOFXIII. tekken hybrid was a huge letdown. worth $10 not $40.

i did horrible at FR last year but will probably go again. i have a modded 360 that runs final burn (CPS1/2/3 + NeoGeo) so if you guys want me to bring it and play some old stuff like X-Men COTA or JoJo let me know. i brought it last time but marvel 3 had just come out so nobody wanted to look at it if it wasnt marvel. :<
