Hello everyone was trying to find out anything about a fayetteville scene, just recently got into fighting games and the town i live in lumberton is pretty dry on people to play. I mainly play AE right now since cs2 ruined tager in my humble opinion, but i also have copies of pretty much all recent fg releases (kof,mahvel, etc…)as well as some rare games like melty blood actress again import for ps2 , garou mark of wolves, etc… if its ps2 i have it bootlegged. Just looking for a chill grp to play with I have transportation of my own, so not a issue. Hoping to finally get put on blast in person lol

Just got back from a secret KOF 13 level up of our own,lol. At EZ, me, Nathan, and a new old school KOF player named Nick. Lots of fun. Tried out some Kyo shit as well as Clark, Athena, Hwa Jai, plus more. Over all it’s a great installment into the series and a definitive version of the game as well. No Sal-T Thursday cz of the holiday this week. But see yall Friday bright and early for some KOF action at EZ. DAT Krack of Fighters!!!
The thing is, this stuff doesn’t really matter that much. I can dash in with s.L-s.M string and if they push on the second hit, Stinger will still connect. But if you get pushed out on a pushblock, you can just call an assist and Air Trick back in, or you can Bold Move into an airdash or Air Play. Dante has plenty of options besides just always doing Stinger. The thing is that he’s much better with an assist than without, if you want to do more pressure. That’s an aspect of his gameplay you never really got to explore because you ran him as your anchor almost exclusively. As well as it worked out for your team, anchor is still his weakest position on a team, even in Vanilla.
Normals being smaller isn’t that big of a deal, they’re only slightly smaller and he still dominates at midrange against most characters.

Actually if they push block LM from the range you want to use those moves at, stinger will whiff. Also I think it’s at a range where bold move / air dash won’t put you in a good spot. It’s like they made pushblock affect him more or something. I didn’t think the nerfs to his normals were that big of a deal till I got into a real match vs people, and maybe it’s just my playstyle with him but I really notice it. You’re probably right though, he could get by without an assist before but he probably needs one to be his most effective now since bulldog melee dante isn’t that great now.
Also lol at those KOF matches… I can look back at those one day and laugh at how bad we were.

Thanks to XSamuraiX for picking up the slack last night. Gamefrog is going threw some problem changes with the mall and I will have to tweak the time of events to adjust for the new operational hours rules. KOF was good last night. Hope I gave out enough beginning engine information so that people have a easier time getting starter with KOF and not get hung up on not knowning simple mix up option rules and engine do and don’ts.
