A joke? Hm, it made it to evo.
Also show me a glitch. Show me. Most glitches in said game that I know of are in the original versions of sf2 games. There is one I have encountered that is not, and it is training mode only. CE Chun’s down HK is unblockable. But only in training mode.
Other glitches, like scps1 chain, jump canceling, magic spd, magic super spd, magic running bear grab, walk up flash kick, walk up supers, renda etc were all in their respective games to begin with. You make it sound like koryu. Bear in mind too that ae has a glitch where yun can OTG. They haven’t had this since people were repeatedly tripping ce vega. A
Like I said, don’t complain about “arcade perfect”. Only thing that is kind of near that is AE on the right monitor, or Tekken 6 BR on the right monitor (they didn’t even remove “insert coin”) . Also I remember being told that some people “wouldn’t remember how to play ST/‘DEAD’ games”. ST was a huuge basis for sf4 and practically the reason I can use deejay in that. If you forget how to play sf2 series games you basically can’t play anything that’s close either.
Also, you guys have at least one system with hdr on it, which includes a version of the original ST. Use that if you want, and I don’t mind hdr. Things like a bison fake slide or cammy actually being worth it or sagat being worth it don’t bother me. Wouldn’t mind the new toys I’d get using chun either.
The game is fast, faster than ae, and unlike AE I actaully have practice in it since I own it, and there are many people who still play it and practice it. I know local 3 people who would currently, 4 including myself. That’s a nice 20 bucks or more for a pot f some sort (nice since it porb will be small to begin with) or and 8 more for the store plus food sales and participation in the other tournaments. Really small crowd but I can fish for some more. You guys can play sf2, right? I mean it’s less difficult than 4 is other than special/super inputs (few shortcuts).
As for 3s… IT OWNS.
There were people in your crowd previously requesting it AT THE TOURNAMENT VENUE. Including me. And honestly, I’m not buying the whole “ps2 version is not perfect, wait for oe”. Hm, considering that ps2, emu, and dreamcast were THE ports people played for years (including at Evo), I honestly doubt that notion. So some inputs are like 1/40000th sec slower. That means it’s easier to pull, not noticeable and… Pretty much a whole 50 americans have played 3s in the arcade. If you played 3s, you probably played it on one of the above non arcade versions. I don’t even get people who complain about differences in the emulated version. Lol, if your pc can’t run a rom of a cd based 2d sprite game. I’m sorry for your loss. It literally is the arcade game ripped off the cd. If you are so purist, hunt down the one arcade machine with 3s on it in this state and go buy it. Should put you down a “measly” 5000 bucks.
The event lasts from like 4 to ten. 6 hours. You have plenty of time, that is, if 8 people or more even show up this time. Heck we might as well run things when we get people instead of waiting practically all night.
To this date I have not experienced difficulty due to what version of a game said game is. A hadouken on snes HSF2 and doing it in the arcade are not far enough apart to make me lose. Same with 3s. If I play the rom or ps2 version, I can do the same moves with the same timing as long as I have a good controller.
