5 dollar entries for niche titles make it ,ore affordable for people who play multiple games, but won’t win them all. I’ll travel for marvel and sf, and wouldn’t enter a 10$ cvs2 tourney, but would a 5 dollar one.

10 dollars definitely makes me less likely to enter games I don’t take all that serious. IE I’d enter a KOF13 tournament for 5 but not 10 since I don’t know it that well atm.
Chicken Nuggets at my local Wendy’s use to be 99¢. I was cool with that. But once they went up to $1.09 I was like “NAAAWWWW SON!!!”

The Greenville to EZ doesn’t pass through Raleigh at all. Fayetteville is kinda in-between the two.

Fact of the matter is that when you double the price of anything, people will be less likely to buy in. If someone likes 3 different games, they might not want to spend $30 for all those games, plus the venue fee, gas money, food expenses. It’s just the way it is. I’m fine with $5 games, (and this is coming from someone who got money from last EZ tournament), because I want more competition… not less competition and “possibly” more money. Jobs are for money, games are for competition and enjoyment. There’s nothing more to it.
With that said though, I don’t mind if the games I play are $10,… if I “know” there will still be a high turnout regardless of the price. So I’m pretty much cool with the $10 entry fee on T6 since a bunch of people have already confirmed they’ll be coming (even South Carolina). But for Arcana or MK… They don’t deserve that $10 entry fee imo.
To be fair, Wendy’s new burger patties are godlike. Still not as good as Hardies though.

location: Greenville NC, ECU student
games: SSF4 AE and just ordered MvC3 should be here sometime this week can’t want to start getting my ass handed to me.
skill level: decent at SF but im going to assume its gonna take me a while to get good at MvC3.
just looking for some local people to play with online or otherwise. feel free to add me on psn if you want to kick my ass and maybe give me a pointer or two. once MvC3 comes in i’ll probably be played that alot more then SF just trying to learn it. look forward to playing with some of you.
