You should do a 3v3 or 4v4 since it’s smaller. Besides, there are never 5 highest placers. There’s Top, Top 2, Top 3, Top 4, but then it jumps to Top 6 and Top 8. There is no Top 5.
I’m seeding the bracket based on the last tournament so random blow ups like that won’t happen. I’d rather avoid calls of favoritism where people are like “a yo I’m just as good as him but you only picked him because he’s your friend blah, blah, blah, etc.” Depends on how everyone else feels.

95% of the point of regional teams is the drama and squabbling over who gets a spot, and then once the team is actually picked, 1 person usually doesn’t show up, and the rest don’t really care about playing it anyway.

I’d agree that it would probably be best to pick participants…if it matters that much. I guess if it’s not a big deal it wouldn’t matter anyways. I should be at the session tonight Jon, and Raf tells me he’s gonna come up with Will as well. Oh yea, and I won’t be able to make the EZ tournament as I’m going to be going to Indiana for my Frats 100 year joint. I know how dissappointed you are Jon…I know how much you just love to see me in tournaments. lol. Guess I’ll have to save my elite super dynamic gdlk combo’s for another time.

AFAIK the match-up plays out the same in AE except for the post-ex-hand situation being a different kind of mix-up. I probably feel Ryu’s cr.mk nerf there more than any other match-up, though.
Also, are you on XBL? I know online is online but I’m down to play a huge sesh just to get match-up knowledge regardless.

so true story. my gf has been killing herself to get me a gift, and i told her that im not a “lavish” gift kind of person. im a practical guy. so the other week while intoxicated we have an argument because she says im too conservative and she shows me what she got me out of anger. she had bought me a damn $300 russell simmons bracelet. and is not that i didnt like it, but i tried to explain to her that im not a jewelry kind of person and on top of that, its $300 for a SINGLE ACCESSORY. yeah i wear a nice watch, but a watch isnt a bracelet. so she takes it back.
so today she gives me my new gifts. and lo and behold she ends up spending more on a new PlayStation 3 slim (even though I already got one for myself) and an authentic Blade sword. this thing is pimp as shit, its got the hidden blade in the scabbard and all. but dammit…its still not a practical gift.

It’s not just about you, I’ve been in this situation before and the truth is it’s just as much about that person and what they want to give you and what they want you to know they feel about you with the gifts they’ve chosen.
Rejecting a gift can get internalized in pretty weird ways. If you’ve already had an argument over it and it’s not going to ruin her finances, this is one of those things that’s probably better to let slide. I mean, people out there have way worse things going on in their lives than being given swords. The ps3 is different, you already have one. That’s cut and dried.

i’m with you on this, i run into this a lot. i’ll get a gift and I keep thinking about how much they probably paid for it VS how much I COULD have gotten it for if i was looking for a deal on it…but at the end of the day, it’s just easier to keep it.
as for the PS3, if it’s not too late, can you take back the one that you got yourself? then you don’t have to deal with the SO having to return a present or whatever.
