JON: I AM GOING TO EVO, AS IS IAN, AND PROBABLY JASON BY HIMSELF TO FLASH HIS IBM DOLLARS AT THE LADIES OR SOMETHING, but yeah, I’ve requested Thursday, Friday and Monday off. I could end up adding to that depending on if I can get a cheaper flight somehow. As for the room, it’s going to be like a little over $200 total whether we stay 4 days or 7 days because I’m in the Rio’s club thing. I can’t take a whole lot of time off though, don’t have enough vacation time for much more than 1 or 2 extra days, if that.
/wave, been awhile. I agree, the game looks more incredible than I’d ever expect a rom dump to be, and pipes to my TV perfectly even when there are some retail PC games that do not. I’ve been meaning to replace my current desktop for years now, but the game seems to be running at normal speed. My biggest issue at this point is the keyboard controls… I need to look into how ppl are configuring sticks to work with this when I have time.

yeah, has been a long time. hope you’ve been doing well. i think i might try to revive the old alienware just to play this haha, current laptop doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card and i think that is what is holding me back.
easiest way to map buttons without another program is run typex_config. it recognized my ps3 controller with no issues. say no to 4 way joystick. buttons 1 and 2 are punches, 4 and 5 are kicks, 3 and 6 don’t assign any button, just let it time out and it won’t bind anything.
also, if you hold fierce punch and press start, you get training mode, not sure if you knew that.
I like how people talk about getting out of NC like this state is a prison or something. There are way worse places you could be.

I managed to wing a way for me to have a different work schedule now so I can attend sessions and tourneys so I’m looking forward to the next one.
I am really glad that KOFXIII is coming out, who knows…with this new fighting game boom we might see another Capcom vs SNK game

We’re not Ohio or New Jersey, but I can understand someone wanting to leave NC.
I understand it, I just think it’s funny. It’s not the first time I’ve seen people talk about getting out or wanting to get out as if NC is just horrible. There are things that you can find elsewhere, but honestly, almost anything you would want to do, you can do in NC.
Doing ok, thanks, hope its going well for you in Wilmington. In terms of PC upgrading, my problem is I decided to sell my Saturn collection and use the money on my next PC build. And since I procastinate things like selling Saturn games forever, there was never a next PC. :o As an aside, Silvermane posted in the ENM forums a month ago and said TUS is reviving in FFXI (not XIV), but I can no longer even think about that game without my brain rejecting the images. I think overexposure finally took its toll to the point where I can’t ever log in again.

KoFXIII is boss. Super AE isnt holding my attention. Marvel has digivolved into some new creature. BB is losing steam fast. Arcana is hit or miss. GG is still awesome but needs to be on new hardware or I need a new PS2 stick. MK is amazing but wont get the respect it deserves.
Yup looks like Tekken is still the best game for me. Which I repeat WILL be at Lucky’s this weekend. There WILL be a tournament. I might even throw in a pot bonus OR run the DeMo gauntlet invitational again for all you new players.
Few hours of AE with john last night… I’m so free in that game.
Although I’ve missed the last 3 years of playing it and am just picking it up now, I feel like I can compete within a a month or two. I def improved a lot after last nights session, now I’m just very very free instead of very very very free.

I don’t think anyone is currently leaving NC because they hated NC, everyone who posted about moving (me included) stated it was because of school or work related reasons. So I’m not sure where the assumption that the people who are moving from NC obviously hate NC is coming from.
