North Carolina Thread LVII

Awesome, I’ll add you right now. Oh yeah, that thread we have in the PSN forums, we’re going to be redoing it pretty soon. It kind of got outdated when I wasn’t here on SRK for a year. Oh yeah, are you using a wired or a wireless connection? If it’s possible, try using wired for a more stable connection… dood.

Granted people at animazement are the worst at judging who is good and who is not but Noel is S-tier for a reason. She’s not game breaking, just retarded. Like Makoto.

Oh really? I must have lost track of time again, oh well.

EZ was a lot of fun, def leveled up my deadpool by the end of the night which was my goal. Pineapple surprise!

Shoutouts to Willvorine for getting bodied all night by everyone there.

Can someone tell me a rule set for BBCS2 and GGAC so I can post it in the EZ thread. Also are the stages in T6 set to random select or does the loser pick the stage?

Tekken stage is always random UNLESS both players agree on a stage selection

lol “willvorine”

Wireless only, unfortunately. But I seem to get a lot of 5 bar connections in lobbies so it’s still okay I guess.

Day 2 of my Marvel Online Blog:

Up to 6th Lord now, 77-23 record.
It seems once you get to the mid-ranks you start seeing a lot more Wesker and Phoenix. Fortunately most Phoenix players don’t seem to care about blocking once they get in Dark Phoenix.
I actually had a match where a guy came in and put his Phoenix on point once he had 5 meters, and then I took out Phoenix AND Dark Phoenix legit without using X-Factor, and didn’t lost a character…but then still lost because SHUMA-GORATH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BLOCK ONLINE.
Also had a few matches with a guy I’m pretty sure was trolling me. I had a bunch of smooth matches and then this guy comes in with underwater speed, picks Demon Village (the laggiest stage in the game, and this is on PS3, mind you), and then uses Ammy’s Slowdown super whenever he has the space and meter. I beat him really badly in spite of all that BS because Level 3 X-Factor Morrigan is STILL pretty fast even in all of that muck.

Yeah i rather fight against phoenix any day than wolverine, its official… Thank you will

BTW EZ was lots o’ fun GGs to errr body

So I guess nobody’s playing today?

EZ was fun. I still hate MvC3. That Sagat player was on point with his pokes. Need more playstation consoles. NOT ONE was there lol. If people playin today, let me know.

No, that’s retarded. You don’t see Smash players play on random stages and Tekken shouldn’t have that either. In a game where stage choice *actually matters *then you should have a counterpicking system. As an Alisa player, I always counterpick infinite stages because my wall game is balls.

I might be up for a little MVC3 today if anyone is interested.

Honestly EZ kinda sucked last night, mainly because my controller not working until 4 AM and then not having long enough to learn to fight wolverine. I did some lab work vs him though so I know what to do next time. Ammy seems like she has some good tools for the fight.

MK was fun though, GGs to Matt, Aaron, Rob and Keith.

Also did anyone know Haggar can start the DHC glitch? I had no idea till I tried it today.

Tekken has always been random stage selection from my knowledge.
What kind of system would you want implemented anyways?

Never put Smash and Tekken in the same sentence please…

Lol, I still don’t understand the Smash hate, but whatevs, it’s a very good comparison because in Smash, you have a certain group of stages chosen randomly for the first round and a certain group of stages for a possible counterpick, the opponent chooses his character or stays the same then you choose your character or stay the same.

Before I go off on a tangent, I’ll just say that Tekken should simply let the loser counterpick the stage instead of just randoming it out. Now, I know in the world of fighting games, the winner isn’t allowed to change characters, and I agree, even in Tekken’s case, because the stages don’t drastically change the game, but they do matter. I say the loser should be allowed to change characters and the stage.

I do agree with you on that in Tekken stages do matter. Unfortunately that is the tournament format.

But on a side note there is a specific timing to get stages with or without walls during stage selection on random. I do not know the timing because I’m lazy and do not want to look it up right now.

I know this is kind of ridiculous just to select a stage but I’ve seen it done during tournaments.

Is anyone from NC going to CEO? I just realized it is only a week away and I haven’t planned shit for it.

5 people from what I know.

I’ll try to make time for the June 18 and July 9 tournament just for BB. Sigh, I know jack crap about CS2. It’s actually a different game. And playing Hazama doesn’t count as knowing anything about CS2. I only need 2 buttons.

Edit:
I’m not easily impressed (or frightened), but I had to post this:

This player’s movement is GODLIKE.
