I’ve got so much going on and running through my head at these things…when I decided to team with Phil I should have come straight to you so you could get that spot. I tried to make amends but I can more than understand why you were pissed. I’ll buy you a few drinks or something next time we chill to hopefully make it up to you. I’m sorry about that man.

I had an ass load of fun at the tournament, it was really cool meeting everyone. If you didn’t know I was the black guy with the afro playing Balrog. Playing in a legit tournament for the first time made me realize a few things.
-The tournament helped confirm that I do like SFIV, so I’m quitting all other fighting games to dedicate all my time to SFIV.
-I was expecting to be destroyed, but all of my matches were really close(I didn’t get 2 round peaced out in any of my games). So I feel that I do have what it takes to be a top player, and it was a major confidence booster.
-It seems that I’m better on pad than on a stick. Usually it’s the other way around, but I just can’t use jap sticks. Having to use a ball instead of a bat and a square gate instead of octagon really threw me off.
-I’d like to give a few shout outs as well. Brandino, for chilling with me over the weekend and driving me to the tournament. Kevin, Tom, and Joe for driving me back home. Tom for basically doing all the work to carry our 3S team to the finals. Joe for being my partner in SFIV, surprised how well we did considering the players we went up against. And a final shout out to all the people who were chillin outside of lucky’s, those talks we had really helped me a learn a lot.
My only regret was going to a party the night before the tournament. So I was wasted with little sleep before going to the tournament. I felt like complete shit with a serious hangover, so I learned my lesson ‘don’t party before tourneys’. I’m gonna try to become a regular at the tournaments all year long, and I’ll start showing up to gatherings.
geeeiiiiffffff, lol damn I need to learn that match up better. Hopefully I can put up a better fight vs him next tourney. GG’s to everyone, I think most people enjoyed my viper lighting up the screen (whether the ultra hit or not)

Yeah good shit at the tourney to everyone, was cool meeting some new faces and hanging with the SF peeps for once in the same game as them. Zangeif is gonna take some getting used to. Also, fuck a Sagat, Fei Long all the way. :lovin:

Felt I did good this time around. Still lost, but certainly improving. Thanks to everyone for the various Zangief tips (I’m horrible with names) though while I need to level up my Gief I probably also need a secondary.
:sad: Truck died on the way back but luckily I had gotten within city limits and already dropped off Darklight. I just crashed with him for the night and got AAA to tow.
R.I.P Sam’s truck.
Hopefully once I catch up on my post-FR finances I can afford to take more Saturdays off to drive you guys next time.
