ggs tonight tom
ima have to get faster connection where i am at cause there seems to be too much delay on my end. its tolerable but it seems it should be better than that
Good shit Kris, Garrett, PaulZ, and Matt. I need to learn the Viper match bad.
I think playing Viper on 3 bars is unhealthy for me. Her throw should be banned online. I thought I reacted to like 90% of her throws but instead had to start mashing them in block stun to actually break, ie wack. She is mad scary though. Thatâs going to be a fun fight to learn. GGs.
we should play sometime. add my PSN bro.
See what I did thereâŚ

Practice up on dem IAD loops, Gier bullshit, and flash kick supers. Iâll bring a AHF setup so we can get one last hurrah for AHF.

I was missing so much shit too, sheâs much scarier without lag lol. Missing TK feints, ultras, etc. made things mad hard, but yes, Viperâs throw is the scariest thing ever. I find throws hard to break in general in this game, tho.
Cuz u never learned how to play SF without a parry?
Disagreement.
Ehhh I donât think so. I would see you walk up, then I would throw, then I get shocked. I know her B&B shit has to be harder online, but throw ticks arenât difficult. I was getting grabbed like 4 times a round plus on average.
Her angles, throws, air movement (with flame kick) and crossups coupled with lag leave me guessing A LOT thought I know thatâs kind of what youâre trying to do anyway. You would sj at me and I would fierce dp and you would fly over me or I would jab dp and youâre too high. That kind of thing needs reaction and responsiveness to fight. Shit like reacting to siesmoâs with whatever option is fucking HARD. By the way, her seismo chip damage is fucking nasty.
You wouldâve waxed me with her anyway (Garrett did too on 4 bars), but it made it more difficult to react too and in turn learn. Iâve got some counter/control options I think but I have to be able to react to make it worth something.
BryanâŚwhat character were you using?
20+ years of age SaiSyuâŚ
Playing Street Fighter is easy âwithoutâ parryâŚsee what I did there.
Step 1: Get the lead.
Step 2: Spam safe fireballs on gaurd for free chip damage.
Step 3: Crouching fierce or DP all jumping enemies, mindlessly.
Step 4: Abuse âAbsoulte gaurdâ strings and rape the opponet that is still playing Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike with a free gaurd system mind set.
Step 5: Repeat till dead.
I can see the argument here, I fought a guy recently that I thought was pretty decent but after playing his secondaries it occurred to me more that he would just get in my face and just kinda mash random safe moves with her. There are holes, but theyâre tough to see and properly react to online. Itâs not like fighting a more typical SF characterâs mixupâŚalmost like Iâm dealing with GG blockstrings or something.
Very interesting character.
Brandino, practice? We talkinâ about practice? Not the actual gameâŚbut practice?
Heh, I played a pretty laggy balrog and couldnât beat repeated jab dash punches. It was hilariously frustrating.

Who else from NC is going?
There is even talk of Battle Raper, but no guarantees I supposeâŚ
Alex, I was using Gouken. And Matt, if you remember I used to be a CvS2 player, who didnât use P-Groove.
SF4âs mind games just feel like theyâre straight out of 1992 to me. Fireball > Shoryu just isnât fun to me anymore.
Where is the player jumping from? When are they jumping? Which characters are in play here? How much meter, etc.
The only time Fireball/Shoryu dictates an entire match is when one of the players never learned how to beat it; seriously, youâre only scratching the surface of the game.
Oh, and donât use Gouken, he sux.
I should be on at 6 to get rocked by Vipers again. :bgrin:
None of us will probably be on. Weâre having a gathering. Feel free to come, if you want.
