Definitely looking to play more casuals next time. I kinda observed this go since I was new to it and didn’t know anyone yet.
Oh, and sorry if I didn’t introduce myself to some of you guys. About halfway through the day I realized I was just kinda following Q and Matt around and being anti-social and that I hadn’t really spoken to anyone else yet. Tried to at least say hello but if I didn’t then my bad, wasn’t trying to be rude or anything. I was the guy in the nintendo jacket that played as one of the many Giefs.
My copy of 2002UM just showed up. It has a dated look and SNKP will really need KOFXII to compete with SF4. The characters also seem to have evolved very little and most of the work in the game was adding characters who weren’t already there. I wasn’t impressed with any new HSDM so far other than Nameless. Nameless overall looks excellent, SNKP put a lot of work into redoing Tetsuo.
All that having been said, the stage design is very good though I think it could use more stages, and the soundtrack is the one place this game trashes SF4. Both games rely heavily on remixes, but SF4’s remixes are simply well done. 2K2UM’s remixes are :wow: :wow: :wow:.
I think I’ll play more SF4 than 2K2UM because Capcom reinvented the look and the engine, and the 1999 redrawing aside, SNK hasn’t changed the look and engine since 1994. It’s not that I don’t like 2K2UM, it’s just that it feels like a game I’ve already played to death.

Good games everyone, shit was fun. I was playing awful on 2 hours of sleep, but I still learned a little. Worst moment was when I was gonna kill Kevin Michaels with an ultra and the ultra turned out to be 2HP then ultra. Which got blocked. And I died. T_T
