It’s too late for him to back out of it now. Even with it being as hype as it’s going to be that should be more the reason to “shut you up”. Arstal needs to show up, handle his business, build some hype, get his money and get you banned. If he backs out now or the day OF the event he’s gonna make himself look like the biggest bitch at the event…in front of all these people…oh and SRK will catch wind of this. Not only the NC crew, but the new players that we’re obviously gonna bring to this event will see him as a bitch because of this. Think of it like this…if he play you’ll atleast get some respect for going through with it even if he loses. If he backs out…he’s gonna lose w/e credibility you have left.

I plan on showing no matter what. I just don’t want to waste time on stupid shit. If it happens, it will happen within 30 mins- 1 hr of the time I get there, or else it ain’t happening. I still think it’s stupid to waste time on this when you’re not going to get tournies done in time. I’ll try to make it by 1:30pm. I can’t guarantee shit, as quite honestly, work comes first, and this is the last time I plan to show to one of these. I’d rather play SF4 offline for the first time, instead of dealing with stupid drama.
BTW some of you guys have seen me play now- so you know what I can do, and you guys know what Matt can do.
The point is this:
We’re going to have 80 people there, and about 5 PS3’s, most of which will be used to run SC4 to start. To get people home before midnight- you’re going to have to cut some shit out.
It’s going to be hype no matter what. This isn’t like 3S/GG only where you won’t excite anyone other then fans of those two games.
What is going to be hot is the amount of people that do not comeback when the get a taste of the elitism in some people.

-people have anticipated this match for the past month+
-It’s the main event of the tournament
-people are betting on this match
-You made the bet. Man up and follow through with it

The reason I agreed to it was like Shiki and probably others, I got sick of your crap. BTW the main event is SC4 regoinals/ SF4, don’t flatter yourself.
The reason I wanted it put off was I think we’re going to have 80-90 people in there, most of which will be in there for SCIV, and Lucky’s is going to shut it at some point- which I don’t want while there’s 12 or so people left in SFIV brackets.

Ok look, I havent read much of the thread after this, but where the hell did you get that impression? Nobody said anything of the sort, just like you saying to ban Seth because he takes long or is boring to you. I didn’t say shit about canceling anything, because NOTHING IS GOING TO BE CANCELED.
You guys may be able to stay till 2 in the morning, I gotta get some sleep then go to work, so I can’t. This is why this is probably going to be the last time I come to Lucky’s- it’s just difficult for me to do it- especially if SF4 continues to not impress me all that much.
I may even sell my 360 and games.
I’m not going to shut down on SF4 until I play it offline- I really think some of the issues I have with the game may be due to input delay and lag abuse, I want to make sure on that before saying to hell with it.

Hey, maybe you heard…that SF4 game came out on console. Shit is going to be HUGE and HYPE and people should expect to be around longer than usual. It’s our first console tournament with SF FUCKING 4. Deal with it.

Yes it is, thank you. It’s too bad you’re not ACTUALLY in my brain, which one would be led to believe judging from your recent posts. If you *were *in my brain, then you would know that the SC4 crowd are scheduled to bring TVs and PS3s of their own.
Where did you hear this? Do you really think that the hypest game there would start first? Or at 4 or 5 even? Some people request off of work to play videogames. If you have a profession that will not allow for that, please take that up with them.
You agreed to a match, you didn’t agree to a time. If you’re worried about missing work, please extend your ultimatums to them instead of I. I sacrifice a good bit of my personal enjoyment to run the tournaments the best I can (as do others), especially when they get this big, so if you want to put an ultimatum down, how about you guys have your match at a reasonable time that I set (since, you know, I’m running the shit), or go ahead and bitch out and just stay the fuck at home. Ultimatums are wonderful.

Look…everyone expects a good number. I handed out a lot of business cards, and if a third of those people show, it will probably be 20 or so new players. I’ll post the schedule up in the tournament thread. I’m no master at this, but I’ve run a good number of these things now, and I’ve gotten better if anyone remembers some of the first few. There are some real good people who always bring things and offer a helping hand as well. But what really fucking pisses me off is when people (ie. one) want the tournament to cater to them, and state falsity after falsity like the shit is straight fact. Please stop. This may be the last hurrah in NC for one or two of these games, and I think it would fitting to have it during some big hype shit.
Lucky will accommodate us with whatever space we need. The SC4 tournament will be at the front, separate from everything else (how they want it). Really, I’m fairly certain that if we’re stern enough with the DQs and times and we run a good schedule, then everything will happen and run smoothly. The negative? Everything happens and we’re there late. Big fucking deal. That would really just mean that we have a lot of players who enjoy playing and want to play. Sounds fine to me.
