I’ma try to make this. I’ll be in VA for most of the day (with no internet access), but if I get home at decent hour, you’ll see me there. 
A tournament on a Friday, or weekday, is never going to work. You’re not going to get a lot of people to come for that, especially out of towners.
I’m in High Point, and there’s no way I can make a tourney during the week. Plus, you don’t even have Marvel or AE listed.
Going back to Strider/Vergil comparisons, I really see Strider as more of the Wesker with a sword design, rather than Vergil. Vergil has a similar OTG that can lead to a mixup, which makes him look a little like Wesker (plus the teleports). But Vergil is also a meter whore, and one thing about Wesker is that he does only one thing with meter, which is build it. Strider looks more similar to Wesker in that he’s fast, mixup oriented rather than one hit combo death oriented, has teleports for creating mixups with assists (or his own projectiles) and is able to control space well (better than Wesker, in fact). Vergil seems like he will be a slightly more unique character design, and while you could probably run him on point with assists, my guess is that he will be best in either middle or anchor, with a good battery or two in front of him. Devil Trigger always helps too, it’s a really busted hyper for both Vergil and Dante.
I realized a few days ago that I should have been playing Magneto from day 1. Seriously, what an awesome character. He and Dante work incredibly well together too. Might work out the same way with Vergil in Ultimate. I really can’t wait.
I have to have it on this day or I would be charged a large sum of money and I might get awkward times like the during the morning. I’ve seen weekdays work for other tourneys on this site. I also have about 25 people right now who says that the date is fine for them. If you want Marvel and SSF4AE on there I can arrange it though you would have to host that tournament as don’t own those games. I own SSF4 though.

3s4life guys, seriously, for FUCKING LIFE!!! Also, if you have played both versions of 3sOE, you would know that the 360 version is really better. Go post in the Season’s Beatings thread showing support for the 360 version. Ghaleon keeps getting PMed by randoms asking for the PS3 version. Every top player agrees the 360 version is better, so the more support we show for the 360 version, the healthier 3sOE can be at major tournaments.
Post that the 360 version is the tournament standard plz. GOGOGOGOGOGo!!!
Also, I still have 1 spot left in my car for Season’s Beatings. One of yo bums has to be able to call off work and go to they hypest shit ever!!!~

Updated the RRQ tourney page with rules, format and payouts. We still need at least 1 copy of AE and a couple side systems for casuals.
I think his teleports are more similar to Wesker than Striders are, aren’t they? Also looks like his combos are just abc launcher air series otg air series otg super, like a certain someone. Also looks like he can combo off of his grabs by himself, which’ll be nice. I’d say run Vergil second or third, with a good meter guy on point, because those swords are going to be cheesy as fuck. Is it confirmed Devil Trigger gives him anything other than Dante’s mobility?
Also good shit on Mags, we need a good Magneto player. Magneto Dante Wesker will be a pretty scary team IMO for vanilla. You coming out tonight?
It just depends on what there’s demand for. Usually we see Marvel, Tekken, AH3, AE, and 3S if certain people come out but I have everything so it’s really whatever.
