Power went out but unlike Lucky’s it didn’t end the whole tournament and they were able to fix the situation and move on.

The connection at the venue wasn’t strong enough to host a stream but at least we were able to record the finals.

Had to leave early since my carpool wanted to go home so I didn’t get to participate in the team tournaments, so I apologize to those I was supposed to team up with. As a result I don’t know how the rest of the tournament went.

I’m happy I didn’t enter AE and MvC3 because every time I do I always end up regretting it even when I place well cause I just think about not really wanting to play. It also helped me concentrate more on 3S to take 1st but that win doesn’t really matter much since all the players who would have normally beat me either are at seasons beatings or just didn’t show up.

Overall it was good and I had a lot of fun.
Thanks to all of you who came out and made it another great ReSe. Had issue with the power, tripped a breaker, but at least it was fixable.
@Corner-Trap: Yeah bro that’s the first thing that came to mind when it went out. Took me a few to get my head clear but ultimately I got it under control, with the HELP of Irish Bear (Bradley). Yeah it sucked you had to leave but at least you got to come out and chill in Charlotte for a bit, and take home some cash. Usually we have about a 15 - 20 man bracket for 3SO but a lot were out this time.
As far as the stream goes: The internet has great speed, I was going to run two streams on it. However, the admins didn’t unblock the ports needed to stream so it would crash when you started it. Bradley and I are in the process of working with the school to see if they can actually do it this time and to see about getting a newer room with updated electrical code so we don’t pop another breaker.
Either way it all worked out for the best and every one had a great time. I am just sad cause this is the first time I had all 10 monitors setup with numbers and was going to use my station manager but couldn’t cause of the outage 
Oh well it will be for sure next time.

This is how i’m feeling more and more lately with those types of games like AE so with new stuff like KOF13 and all the games coming out I definitely plan to only really stick with games I love to play at tournaments and just casually play everything at gatherings since those are more social than serious.
Agreed. I am thinking of taking a break from AE, only when I run tourneys. I think I am going to work on MK right now and see how KOF 13 looks.

Tourney was straight, I had a lot of issues with the sticks I was using, but I have a remedy for that, so no excuses after this tourney. I feel I would have done a helluva lot better had I been on my own stuff. Like I dropped hella combos, but like Will said, just work on execution. btw does anyone know if the T.Hawk player from Gboro (i don’t wanna call him by the wrong name) posts on here? I wanna ask him what kind of converter he uses.

I wasn’t gonna comment on the MM’s against Sofa_King cause I don’t like to brag but I did win mine in 3S (5-0) and Josiah won his in AE (5-3). I didn’t get to finish watching Josiah’s T6 one but by the time I left it was 2-1 in his favor.
Josiah lost T6 but won AE. Those money matches were worth 25 dollars.
Pretty sure from what I heard the Arcana money match was dropped.

Youre right. I never decided to do it because I take absolutely ZERO pleasure in “hustling” someone I see as a freind in the community. To his credit (Sofa) was a man of his word and came with his money, and he learned his lesson which he openly talked about last night. It doesnt need to go further than that. In the future once he grinds more and wants to run that Arcana MM, I will do it.
I learned alot about a bunch of players in the community yesterday but moreso I learned about myself. I finally saw the rewards of my work paying off in my play vs ATL in both Tekken and MK. Holding my own vs Pokchop in T6 and putting Clint in losers then almost beating him again in teams in MK isnt something everyone can say theyve done. It means alot when players of that caliber tell you straight up you scared them or when they immediately want to MM you after losing to you…yeah, thats awesome.
I dont think im going to make the Tekken gathering tonight though, im just tired. I didnt get back until 530 am and I just want to rest today.
Good job holding up in T6 and MK, you really put a lot of work in that. Also glad to have some closure on why the Arcana money match was dropped since that was the highest stakes I had thought but yea I really don’t like to MM people I know “like that” for those kind of reasons as well.
Does anyone know how the eightarc/qanba sticks are? As good as the TE? I’d rather just get one of those than screw with dual modding my PS3 TE.
