Nah Fudd of course I can’t fault you, you’ve done a lot just to play ST. But I think you’re one of the few people who cares a lot about the game.

Thrust, if we’re gonna get people interested in joining offline events it’s gotta be done after NCR or something, after something noticeable for the game happens in this region.

Best thing to do is to get tourneys going…Let me know when you guys are gonna run one and i will make an effort to attend and Battosai will show up too!

I went to four different tournaments in June in Norcal, Socal, Chicago and (fuck me for going) Tennessee. If people really want to play offline ST, they’ll find a means. If not, all they’ll find is excuses.

I went to all those tournaments to have some fun because I knew I was gonna be busy with school later in the year. But I’m still on GGPO and playing locally even when I shouldn’t be. STA’s distance isn’t the problem for me, but the fact that it takes time to travel that distance. I’m already a huge procrastinator and I’ve got an essay due on Tuesday and Friday; final version of a short story due Wednesday; non-fiction article due tomorrow; and final exams to study for next week.

Concord has always been a good, central location. If you’d be down to hold sessions about once a month, I’d probably make it every time.

I cleaned it out a while ago so we would actually have a lot more space in there now. It’s also like 10 minutes walking from Bart. And there are a couple players in the area who are kinda interested in learning the game. So if people want to do it let me know. it’s sad we couldn’t make south town work though.

OK, I’ll post up something later tonight. Probably won’t start till January because of the holidays next month. Unless people would come in december anyways(maybe the 17th). We also have a streamer from the area interested in streaming us. Unless Mizuki wants to do it.

Concord eh? Doesn’t sound too far out, it’s a decent location I’d say, and the more places we can find the better.

Also I want to get things set up at gamecenter once the supergun gets fixed, who’s down for that? If papasi were to lend me the hardware again I could easily make stuff happen cause I’m so close. We could do gatherings, a tourney, and even stream from there.

So I think we should try to attend gatherings in Concord, Gamecenter in San Mateo (once we fix the hardware), and STA, we can’t just forget about STA guys. Sure the location isn’t ideal but the arcade owners did a lot for us, we now have a h2h setup at our disposal, it’d be a waste to forget about STA, and it would kinda fucked up.

Also there’s the h2h setup at SJSU but the p360s are a problem, We’ll just have to wait and see if they are willing to switch those sticks out. If so, we have another place we could consider visiting for ST.

Though I think gamecenter will be the ideal place for us, streaming, big tvs, lots of nearby food, parking yada yada I’ve said it before.

Mizuki has all the streaming software and equipment, if someone could give him a lift to gamecenter if we ever manage to get things going there. I’d pm him but as of now nothing is set in stone and I’m just speculating. As for your place in Concord, you should just pm him about it cause he can just take the bart there if he needs to.

I can make it to gamecenter things for sure, would love to learn the game more and support everything you guys are doing. I’ve got an (almost complete) supergun that I’m planning to start bringing out to events in the south bay when I can make them as well.
