HaikuWar, we actually have ST boards up here, so “close to arcade” is a moot point.
Input lag, a ton, no point in practicing anything that requires tight timing on it.

theres no input lag…its a near perfect port, its better then the Dreamcast port at that, maybe your TV lags…
You fucken Kids hating on HDR dont realize you can practice ST in classic mode and its better then any other console port…
well just for people who cant always make the trip to an arcade, thats what im saying. Of course the Arcade board is the best one to use but for a lot of us who cant always play ST cabs HDR classic mode is the next best thing.
I think it’s the fact that people want the arcade experience/aspect of ST, not the console. I used to practice on classic mode as well. No ones trying to knock HDR.
listen man. i already told you there is input lag and speed are off (i even gave you link for that http://combovid.com/?p=5002#more-5002)
it is an ok port, if you are good at adjusting to slightly different speed and 2-4 frames of lag. some people are very sensitive to those changes.

I forgot to mention, SJSU has a H2H setup, but the sticks are P360, just to warn you. Personally, I can’t use those things at all.
HaikuWar, if you keep the HDR vs ST crap, I will have to report you to a moderator. I’m personally sick and tired of this crap, and this was one of the reasons why I took a giant haitus/debated about leaving the scene. If the post doesn’t pertain to a session, I’m requesting it getting deleted at this point. Take all other arguments to the HDR forum or sirlin.net forums.
No one is talking shit about HDR, so don’t fucking start a forest fire.

HaikuWar, the problem is you’re coming off very aggressive, and I’ve gotten tipped that you commonly try and start HDR vs ST stuff. The way you worded many of your initial posts smelled like flame bait. That is all. I’m pretty sure you already ticked off a couple of people coming into a thread about ST and mentioning HDR and being encroaching with your words. No hard feelings, just try not to be so hostile, we are just here to play.

I completely understand what your saying, I preffer st cab over hdr classic mode anyday its just for some of us st cabs are out of the question so an hdr classic mode set up works for a lot of us. Most of us have hdr already.
I personally don’t care to side with either game and I’ve never started flamingfor it but yes I am very aggresive… just like me claw

If you wanted to practice and you had no supergun/cab, HSF2 or DC ST would be your best bet. They have less input lag than HDR. And please don’t refute that it doesn’t have input lag, as it’s already been tested and proven.
I believe the DC port has 0-1 frames of added input lag over Arcade ST, and HSF2 has 2.
DC ST does in fact have 1 frame extra lag, randomly (and the early movement before “fight”)
