Noodle Bowl Head?

We Injustice now bruh,

Ramen is a Chinese invention, you dumb fuckin’ sportin-a-weeb-alias-and-avatar moolie ass ape.

Pretty sure it only happened because Chun-li was KO’d anyway, making any more damage pointless…

It would make more sense if the bowl shattered and or fell mid-fight, but besides this I dig this kind of stuff. More stage interactions please.

@echelonNYK

It confirms that Capcom we’re being cute, nothing else.

As for the bowl staying on her head, it’s likely a bug that it doesn’t fall off when she’s hit.

In short, keep calm, it’s going to be okay.

lol people failing at sarcasm, I know it’s late

yeah because SF is super serious

I don’t think finishers/KOs really add anything new to the genre. As for the bowl staying on her head for the whole round it’s a good idea and funny joke. As long as it’s small details like this that don’t interfere with the Gameplay i’m all for it.

Needs to have a stage inside the old Family Fun Arcade and instead of ramen, you get either nachos or double chilli fries.

How about a stage that breaks through NLBC and interrupts a match of SF4? Could have Spooky/Henry Cen yelling at the fighters to get out because they have a schedule to keep, and maybe Sanford can throw a stick on whoever gets KO’d.

Pull the stick out of your ass. You’ll enjoy life more.

I think that with the more serious tone of SF5 that having a couple of little tongue in cheek moments like that helps keep the game fresh and shows it’s more serious but it’s still got heart. I loved it.

That said, I think that the bowl on her head should have been like a limited duration thing. Like if you take enough upper body damage it comes off, it doesn’t need to be there for the entire match but having it on her head during the actual fighting was epic.

Even though the ramen on the head was a stage interactable, I’m speculating that the ability to “wear” things will play a part in char customization like dlc hats and what not. If capcom does the cosmetic dlc like valve does, I’d be all for it.

I should come off if you get hit high, you have to earn wearing it. The noodles must become a badge of pride, the proof you made an epic comeback.

Don’t get bent out of shape over my initial comments. If Capcom wants to go for the loz or comedy, they can just have that scene only for that part where the bowl falls on her like I have mentioned. Anything after that is overdoing it and it loses its funny appeal.I do like stages that have interaction. If it is a glitch due to pre-alpha, then so be it.

I was this close to loudly exclaiming “get noodle’d” when I saw that. It also made me laugh. That’s generally a good thing.
I think the bowl should have shattered if the noddle’d character takes a hit to the head though, but still.

ROOFL I didn’t even realize it added to the combo counter, that is fucking priceless.

I hope they keep this stuff, way better than a taunt

Chun Li with the noodle bowl was a hint. Maki confirmed:

I’m all for the humiliating stage transitions, but it staying there the rest of the match is just plain goofy.

I thought I was going to be OK with cosmetic customization, but if this is the kind of stuff the have in mind I’d rather pass on the whole idea.

Please reconsider Capcom! And if not let there be a toggle to turn this off online.

Just imagine the ridiculousness people will come up with (and we will have to endure) online. SFxT only had color customization, remember how that turned out?

Is it me or does Ryu have a really bushy armpit?

I think it’s just the shading on his pit.

As far as the noodle hat is concerned, I think it’s pretty funny, though I would like it to fall off once Chun gets knocked down or goes upside down for any reason. I agree that it was a bit old more than fifteen seconds into the match. A nice touch in terms of attention to detail, but having it glued to her head was kind of silly. Hopefully it falls off further into the fight on release.
