Just yesterday I saw a tournament where almost every single character was using a custom outfit , ohh yeah! that was capcom cup where all of this happened. In Every single tournament players are using goofy outfits for their characters but somehow chunli with a bowl of ramen on her head becomes a problem, talking about double standards.
I like that detail of starting the next round with the bowl on her head, but I think it should fell off after the character his hit first. It might be even more fun, because the player could try to retain its perfect to see the victory animation with the bowl on _D
They should give an option to take it out at the start of the next round through a button press, preferably in a bad ass way. Chun Li could kick it off her head, Dhalsim might teleport it away, Zangief might explode it by clenching his head muscles, Ken might eat a mouthful and throw the bowl away nonchalantly…
they are super serious when they start the match, just look at their faces. They are not clowns. Especially Chun-Li. She turned into a fucking clown all of a sudden
you wanna make a joke? OK, make a good one. That was one of the stupidest jokes I’ve seen in a video game. Not fun and makes no sense.
There was no stage transition as Ryu blasted her into a wall. There’s no way the stage could continue from there. It was just a cutscene that plays if you get super KO’d in that section of the stage.
I appreciate variety, but to be honest I wish there were several stages that looked like arenas. I like the cruise ship stern stage from SF4 for that reason. It’s so hype with all the people watching and betting rather that you randomly fighting in the slums.
Personally I feel that the bowl on the head part is funny when it first happens. I can also see it becoming stale after a while. Regarding tournament players using goofy outfits… Not everyone of them uses the goofy ones and it is ***optional.***. LOL @ people using tourney players as crutch like they are the be all and end all in this bowl discussion. That is funny to me.
Lol, how are people complaining about this? It’s just an innocent cosmetic feature. It’s just as wacky as Haggar chasing Sodom around in the Mad Gear stage. Training Room will always exist for people who prefer the game with no distractions.
I really like the stage transition they showed. It’s simple and doesn’t take up a lot of time between rounds.
Far as the noodles go I see it getting boring after a while too if it stays on your head the whole round. I like the idea of characters doing something to get rid of it during the countdown for the next match.
Maybe each stage could have a character specific one and we just happened to see Chuns? That could keep it from getting boring as quick.
