I am a noob trying to convert to arcade stick and have questions especially for 3s.
My question is, which fingers do you use for the kick buttons.
Obviously you would use the index finger for light punch.
Because of that, I have always used my middle and ring fingers for medium and heavy punch.
The problem is the kicks buttons, I figured to use the thumb for light kick, because I often need to press light punch and light kick together, to throw.
Should I always use the thumb for light kick? I use middle and ring fingers for the medium and heavy kicks too.
Is it a hinderance to always use thumb for light kick? What do you guys use? And when I do UOH or taunt, I have to reach my index and thumb across.
Another quick question is about Yang, since I saw most character forums are dead for 1-2 months already:
How do I perform the slash juggles after launching them in the corner with cl.MK or a palm?
I tried heavy slash, light slash, but I never recover in time for the st. Fierce after.
How do the juggles work?
The stick questions are better suited for the nooby sub forum. There are no 3s specific ways to press the buttons, and no real clear cut best way to align your fingers as far as I know. I’m sure whatever way you’re doing it is fine.
I’m pretty sure Rom checks the Yang sub forum every so often, it’s just since the game is over a decade old discussions don’t occur often in the character sub forums.
I use my pinky knuckle for roundhouse if that gives you another idea. I use my thumb for short and forward. Like pherai said though this isn’t the place for that question.
i use index and middle for most. i dont double tap everything but i only really use thumb or pinky for specific things (like if i do low jab for crouch tech usually i end up using my thumb for the short). i dont know what forum their talking about but goodluck
when going from pad to stick I settled on what Yuuki describes here because it really is the best way imo. My thumb comes into play when doing kara throws with Alex etc.
i cant double tap though lol it messes me up for some damn reason.
