Alright,

Some of you might know me–while others don’t but I like draw shit, lol. I’m a freelance Sequential Artist/Illustrator who happens to be a member of SRK…

Instead of making a seperate thread for each thing I end up working on, I decided to just cram everything in one thread so people can see what’s going on. Right now I’m working on prints for Otakon and my long-awaited manga project, PTS.

For now though, I’ll post random things I’m working on that I’m allowed to post here as well as my deviantart account as well.

Essentially, one of my first real attempts at fanart. I’m mildy pleased with it only because I’m learning some new techniques for painting my lineart, and composing text in my work as well. It was also rushed and I got good reference for it only after I finished the illustration. Granted, I do like it but it definitely could be alot more. " When you lose, don’t lose the lesson…" haha

Chun-Li/Rose Soba Lovers fanart print

David Sirlin vs Tao Duong at its finest? Maybe. It was kinda fun messing with this piece although it was rushed for convention purposes. Originally, the Chun was a sketch I never planned on finishing on some typing paper. But after some messing around–I got ghetto and realized I might be able to make money from it so I kinda finished it. Rose was drawn on a seperate sheet and added on a seperate layer in Photoshop.

This is actually done but I don’t think I’ll put up the finished pic until after Otakon just to keep some things under wraps for the moment.

Part Time Shuffle Promotional Poster

It is what it is. I still need to find a solution to the low-res bg pic. My old HD died and it had my raw psd files there so I’m kinda sad about not being able to replace it at the moment–BUT if I don’t make the poster too large its not going to be too noticable.

More things to come within the week. Hope people are interested.

I like the layouts you did for the last pic and the Bayonetta. The C.Viper is coming along nicely, but I think so far my fav is the Chun/Rose piece.

You got a pretty good style. It looks like your faces are gonna evolve in time. Right now there’s something kinda… “stiff” about them. Like the expressions aren’t really felt. Don’t really know how to explain that. Just my opinion.

Overall though, I’m diggin the work. Hope to see more. :wink:

Well, I’m in the process of pitching something so hopefully things are not as “stiff” as it may seem. Glad you like my work enough at least. There’s always something to getter with. That’s the pain of being an artist I guess.

Haha, Rose seems a bit disappointed that she didn’t get some soba. C.Viper one is looking pretty hot; can’t wait for the completed version.

Don’t get me wrong, I like your work.
I was just pointing out that one thing that could use a bit of work.
You’re still more than talented enough (with a good eye for detail i might add) to make money with your work. Without a doubt.

But yea, being an artist means theres no such thing as perfect. If there was, it get really boring, real fast. :wink:

Fanart from a character named, Niji from RE : Play a manga by Christy Lijewski.

What’s funny is you rarely see this character in the manga and fans probably don’t even remember her. Sad times, its cause she’s black…

Good stuff on that WIP Niji art. No complaints about the coloring or proportions from looking at it a few times.

Otakon is fast approaching so I churned this one out pretty quickly. Its actually an older drawing so I do see where I could’ve beefed up the anatomy/proportion–nonetheless I think it came out ok. Its definitely not perfect but I think people will recgonize the character hopefully.

She’s an obscure character named, Niji from a Tokyopop manga called, RE:Play.
