just beat the game, really enjoyed it. But is there only the one ending? if so i didnt really enjoy it, NMH1 had a awesome ending. This one felt a lil shallow
Speaking of the ending, a friend pointed out that it was a reference to the movie Paris,Texas

which also happens to be one of Suda’s favorite movies.
The main character(guy in the scene) is also named Travis
But then again, all the characters had nicknames when they were created (which is why in the character art photoalbum, the translations are “bespectacled American girl” and “Goth-loli” for the characters, they didn’t have real names. “Goooooooooooothhhhh Looliiiii” haha.)
Sweeet, honestly man thank you so much. This stuff is too good to be true, going to read now. Any timetable for when the art will be back up?
edit
Im about 40 pages into the script and its interesting to note that free roam and ranked fees were still in. I wonder how far along they were with the game before they decided to cut it. Watching the ending credits again it looks like the overworld was actually pretty detailed. If there is another no more heroes I wonder if they will bring back the free roam world or stick with Desperate Struggle’s style.
Activision was a part of the localization?
What’s the story behind them and their changes?
Call me crazy, but I don’t see where you can download in those links
(EDIT FOR BEING A FUCKING IDIOT AND NOT SEEING IT)

unihard asses
Ubisoft didn’t like my company’s translation (I did 98% of the localization, and my boss who is out of touch with American pop culture and slang made me change some things so that’s his 2% contribution).
So Ubisoft read my final script, said “no way”, and then had one of their outsource guys rewrite it based on my work. I then had to incorporate all his changes to the script no matter what since Ubisoft was the publisher and other people were pushovers, but anyway…
It wasn’t supposed to be like that. Activison was to have ZERO creative involvement during the making of the game. But they butted in. Also, during the voice recording, there was an Ubisoft rep monitoring everything. The rep WAS NOT supposed to be there. I shouldn’t say much more because my identity will be revealed…
Anyway, re-reading my original script and comparing it with Ubisoft’s rewrites of my script, there are some parts where Ubisoft’s butting in does sound better. But there are areas where a compromise should have been made instead of completely incorporating Ubisoft’s rewrites over mine.
Shit like the “I don’t keep a death diary”, I thought that was lame, but I had to put it in the final script because Ubisoft said so.
At least Ubisoft didn’t mess with the battle/NPC/shop lines. Bitch-asses, special delivery, and throbbing fuck-nuts, grrrr!
Anyway, Id like to hear your guys honest opinions on the original script and the final script.
Death Diary?
That sounds like an ode to Death Note(An Anime if you haven’t heard about it). I don’t know what context that line was used in, but from the outside looking in, it fits with the theme of Travis being an Anime Otaku Nerd.
You read way too much into that one. It is definitely not meant to be reference to Death Note. However, reading meaning into something that was originally not so meaningful is not such a bad thing. Such is the eye of the beholder. Just be careful when trying to read the opposite sex. =]
It’s just saying “I don’t have a list of all the people I’ve pulverized.”
*I have heard of Death Note. I’ve seen both live-action movies twice. Highly recommended. Haven’t seen the anime, nor read the manga, though.
I’m watching the battle with Margaret. What a hot track. That was definitely written and recorded after the initial main voice recording session.
It’s funny how on the above Margaret sketch, the artist has written “Bust: A-cup” next to her chest.
Finally got around to beating the game. Loved it. Thanks for providing the script, NemoDC! Is this something you don’t want shared on other forums? Just want to make sure you don’t get in trouble. Thanks.
I post up everything knowing full well I cannot stop anybody from sharing the goods with others. In fact, it would be a futile request. (I’m listening to the Margaret track on youtube and there’s already a link in the comments section to her sketch art grabbed from the time I had it on the online album a week or so ago, lol. Not to mention a guy on this thread mentioned “finding” Margaret character art on GameFaqs which was obviously saved by someone before I changed the password on the photo album because I had accdidentally spoiled the game for some people.)
In other words, you have my blessing to share everything available to you with others.
I just ask that you don’t share:
(1) The source (this includes my alias, this forum, this website, the download links, any reference to my existence or the existence of this thread)
That’s all.
Cool, thanks man, its really cool that you’re sharing this with us.
Is it possible to edit the pdf details? It says “roboclove” as the author and I want to change the password so it doesn’t get traced back to here. I only have adobe reader though, so I’m guessing you’d need adobe acrobat to change that stuff.
Free roam was in the prototype version I played back in March of last year, btw. Travis could walk or ride his motorcycle around town.
Timetable for the art. Well, I left my DVDs at home in Tokyo, so I won’t be unlocking the album or putting up any new art until February 20 at the earliest. Sorriez 'bout that =)

Can you please not quote a “self-destruct” post. It completely defeats the purpose. Anyway, I took down the scripts so the links are no longer valid. Those 8 of you who got it, good job.
Don’t worry about it, man. Everything you can see (and cannot see) has been knowingly and purposefully made to be that way. I appreciate your concern, though. If someone hears a password is shoryuken and automatically thinks “DING! www.shoryuken.com the best fighting games forum site in the world must be the source of the leak!” then they deserve to find the thread.
I made it password protected so all edits are disabled.
Don’t know if anyone else has pointed it out yet or picked up on it yet, but has anyone noticed the small homages to Kamen Rider? Put on the full “dude” set of clothes… it looks a lot like Hongo from Kamen Rider

Not to mention some of Travis’s arm motions while inside the Glastonberry.
I got a pretty good kick out of that. I love the little things Suda slips in his games, lol
