Well, you can be a space pirate but it’s very hard to kill the AI, not to mention sometimes 3 of them will come by and start attacking your ship. The most efficient way is to mind for your materials, but that gets crazy boring.
So you’re asking why a game that cost millions to produce and millions more to market is costing consumers $60?
@angelpalm The “decode alien language as you progress” mechanic sounds pretty cool and objectively it fits in line with the game’s vision of exploring space.
This. I may not name every animal, but goddamn ALL these planets are getting names. I have a theme for star systems so I know they’ll be some sort of deity, but planets…just making sounds with my mouth and seeing what sounds sci fi-esque. Azounos? Sure, why not. Then you know EXACTLY where to go back to.
This is absolutely not true. Knowing the language helps when you meet new members of that race and interacting with them. When you choose the “correct” action you’re rewarded sometimes extremely handsomely.
Learning the languages allow you to decipher each of the races “vendors”. It’s basically a puzzle until you learn the entire vocabulary of each race. If you are able to solve their issue or make the correct choice at one of the ruins, you get rewarded. By far the best rewards are crafting blue prints.
I found a ruin where this sphere just told me a story, then I became A1 with all the krivaks (or w/e) after being irrelevant to them.
If you ever stumble across the capcop universe, hit up planet Ono. No life, 25C all day and night with great gold farming. Sentinels don’t give a damn either.
I know that it goes against the spirit of the game, but I have yet to leave my starter planet, I want to try to discover everything on it before leaving
So this game is somehow a more shallow version of minecraft even if you have creativity and imagination you cant do fuck all with it. And theres no story… And no multiplayer. A glorified walking simulator with some extra bells and whistles. Disapointing as all fucks. I wasnt expectinng some space epic as a matter a fact i was expecting a universe based minecraft but the sad theruth is that minecraft is more interactive and has more interesting things to explore.
Why are there always only one alien at any establishment… Why can you not find big cities of sorts… This game is really boring. It doestn guide you to do anything past the start of the game. Fuck the only intersstingg thjng i found was a distress becon mission thing that literally had me travel back to my starting planet only to find that it was my starting spawn location… Gj game! After that i been runing around with no goal or reason. Why do i want money? Why do i want to explore other planets??? Its like the core idea look and gameplay is fairly good except theres fuck all to do after about an hour?
Can we maybe get the aliens to give us quests?? Go kill a pact of creatures who are givig them problems. Go into space and destroy a fleet of space pirates. Gather x resources that are not available on that planet. Escort a freighter from one planet to another… Idk SOMETHING!
I’ve beaten space pirates, also have found establishments on planets with 4 aliens.
also I think every alien race has a “story” you unlock by finding ruins little by little. I found one that started a story that felt like that races version of the creation myth.
I must have skipped a bunch too. I found a huge gold spot with the majority of it underwater, I just couldn’t access it.
