When someone makes a legitimate post based on their opinion, a certain demographic of people on here will actually spend time posting identical diatribes directed at that person, grounded on some ridiculous community self-affirmation. Like you’re an american football team. There’s no objectivity, humor, intelligence, compromise or debate, not even a nod to that persons right to have an opinion, just lazy and overt hostility. It’s always low-brow, opinionated and pretty stupid most of the time.
A little advice. If a lot of topics don’t interest you, or you find them stupid, you probably have nothing to contribute. Also, if you’ve never read a book, and feel as though text is alienating and boring, you probably shouldn’t write things. It’s not called a forum because you can practice your second grade writing on it.
Everything the OP says is relevant and represents a lot of opinions on srk. After playing through all the trials, I ignored the tekken characters completely because they seemed too similar in style and play. I sort of had to force myself to practice with Hwoarang so I could get a feel for the tekken characters. After a day of practice, I totally fell in love with Hwoarang and King, they’re full of surprises and potential that you don’t yet see online. The tekken characters are extremely diverse and just fun to play. Certain Street Fighter mechanics like anti-air and spacing are weak with some of the tekken characters, but that only makes them more interesting and different IMO.
They DO feel kind of “samy”, but so do the Street Fighter characters to tekken players. Play trials and get used to them, they’re in the game for a reason, and it would make no sense to ignore half the content of a game you play.
Maybe, but if that’s the case he couldve avoided this fiasco and save himself the ridicule by not playing a game that he doesn’t like instead of comIng in here and complaining about it. He was basically asking for it.
And who are we to not give what is asked? We wouldn’t want to kill his dream now would we? Let the shitting continue!

On topic: I’d actually pay for a 2D game with only Tekken characters and no SF ones. But then I’d realize that I’d like 3D Tekken more anyway
