So I got a couple of games in with this title yesterday, at Tokagi 2015. Not sure how much info has already been released. I haven’t been keeping up to date on this title to be honest. Here are my impressions:
The graphics are reminiscent of Aquapazza, but this is more of a traditional air-dasher while Aquapazza was more of a slower, SF-style title.
There are five buttons. A, B and C attacks as well as two “Extra” buttons. Pressing the extra buttons creates a parry-like animation, but I didn’t get the chance to figure out exactly what it did. Pressing A+Extra 1 or C+Extra 2 calls an assist.
You can chain normals and cancel into a special or super. I didn’t think to check if you can cancel specials into supers.
Lots of assists that lock down for a long time so you can set up whatever you want (you can’t throw them when they’re in blockstun though).
I am unfamiliar with the Nitroplus characters. Six were playable at Tokaigi, with a bunch of extras available as assists. I chose a loli-looking girl with lots of projectiles. She could shoot a fireball with qcf A, or a bullet that zigzags with qcf B, or qcf C does both one after the other (they combo). She had a dp that hits on the way up and then down again. HCB + A/B/C made her do a downward projectile towards the floor. I couldn’t figure out what it did. She could also do a super fireball with qcf + A + B.
You had to fill out a survey after playing. They seemed interested in knowing if the characters were easy to use, and if the game felt like all the playable characters were balanced. They were also soliciting requests for additional characters and assists.
Overall I had fun with it. I had a winstreak going for a while, until the guy in charge told me I had hit the winstreak limit and had to leave. I didn’t want to line up again because I was with a goup of non-FGC friends.
What does the tier rankings look like for starters? From what I’m seeing, it’s like Muramasa is looking high-tier if not top by how many people are using her.
How has the reception to the game been since release?
Who would be considered easy and hard to use as a starter character?
After watching some videos i have to admit that the game has better animations than previous examu games, though due the nature of the cast, it still looks kinda poverty.
Now, on the gameplay, are all the assist supers in disguise?
My questioning about how tiers are is out of curiosity. It’s not like it’s going to stop me from wanting to main Muramasa, Al Azif, Ignis, & Saber (when released) (Same goes for how I went straight for Chizuru in Aquapazza after seeing the release trailer).

Again, curiosity & would like to see someones opinion or is that asking a “bit” much?
considering shit is soft… mixed metaphors or qualifiers perhaps.
And how is what I said in any way invalid?
So**me random SRK fuccboi: **“I wanna know a tier list for a game I can’t play! Someone, tell me, tell me all! And I wanna know who’s the best char to start wiff!”
Me “Dude, are you even in a position to play the game?”
**random SRK fuccboi: **“No, but [repeats previous]”
Me “So, no, then? Bandwagon hoppin much? I know, there are a few doujin fighters out thurr you can download, actually play and contribute feedback toward development… since you can’t actually contribute to this game cos Murca hates arcades and continues to make CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE awesome games like MKX…”
**some other random SRK (forum that has mostly become irrelevant cos no one cares, -15ers, no new threads for new games cos, like… um… well, you know this is only about SFIV, I mean USFIV) fuccboi: **: “Yeah well, you is… um… dahm! hA!”
Me “Whatevs, gon down to my local gesen tomorrow to actually play the game. Peace out, yo!”
Who cares if they can play the game or not? So what if they are bandwaggoning? It’s a simple question and you could answer it. I assume, and maybe I’m wrong, that this game will get a console port eventually, so when it does people want to be informed when they finally get a chance to play. Either answer the question if you are capable of doing so or fuck off, no one needs this elitist attitude over a game that I assume you care about having a community for.
