Nintendo being behind

I keep hearing about Nintendo being behind, especially in regards to online.

What exactly makes their online behind?

They allow furries to cosplay as fighting game players through by letting them gimp Smash’s great multiplayer game into some bastardized 2 player nonsense.

Its brought chaos to the FGC when you look deeper into it. Smash isn’t a fighitng game, Furries aren’t human, but somehow you gotta treat them both like they’re normal.

We live in strange times, my friend.

Well Nintendo is certainly NOT behind when it comes to built-in storage. 32GBs for Christs sake! I don’t know how Nintendo can keep the Switch affordable with such an Ocean of storage. They say this can be upgraded with Micro SD cards but, i don’t see why you’d feel the need to.

The fact that I can play rollback SF30th on the other side of my house on my laptop, but I can’t do that when my Switch is hooked up to my router is what’s keeping Nintendo behind. Their system is so fucking shitty that the best games I got on Street Fighter looked like a Dragon Ball fight from Yamcha’s perspective.

And don’t get me started on DBFZ. That game is pretty bad on PC WiFi but ethernet Switch is still worse. Until this cuntassery is solved, that’s your evidence for why it’s bad.

I like human being behinds better than Nintendo being behinds.

Except Bayonetta. As a Nintendo being, she has a great behind.

They are slow to adopt standard features such as achievements or voice chat plus the quality still is variable depending on the game.

There are good points, but Twintelle, Bayonetta and Zelda can only help their online presence so much.

I’ve always hated the ideas of trophies/achievements and I absolutely hate online gaming because it killed so many of the communities I grew up in or had a hand in growing.

Ive tried playing online titles several times with friends (SFIV, SFV, Borderlands, several MMO’s) and it felt so boring and lifeless. I was playing with people but it never felt like I was actually playing with them. It just felt like an NPC. So no matter what “goal” we did “together” it didn’t give me any extra sense of satisfaction or team work or anything positive. It just felt boring or the same as playing single player.

It felt the same with fighters. If I beat someone online it just felt like I was playing an NPC. No energy. No hype. No getting a read on their body language or anything. Just felt lifeless.

So. I don’t mind Nintendo missing the boat on those.

The only thing that particularly bothers me is them picking and choosing what games are appropriate for using their Cloud and using a thin veil of an excuse to why they’re not letting that game have access to their Cloud. (IE: Pokemon, Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing)

Actually, Zero Suit Samus is another Nintendo being behind I like.

Friend code, can’t we just give our user name? Having to use our smartphones to chat with the other players.
