Nintendo Arms

Intiating the thread.
I’m maining Master Mummy and wanted to discuss it a little bit.
Found out it works pretty great with Chilla and Buff. Both faster punches, that combine well with its armor.

Been playing it since launch and have found myself enjoying it much more than I thought it would.

I main Twintelle with the ARMS Homie, Whammer, and Seekie.

mummy is pretty interesting.
you definitely need one fast arm.

but i think a megaton/megawatt is very useful for him because counter-punching is basically how he does consistent damage.
trying to mix it up in close vs most of the cast will not work vs anyone decent. it’s so easy to constantly have charged punches.

i use a few characters. i like kid cobra because forward dash under attacks into 170+ dmg throw is insane.
spring man has godly grounded movement with his charge deflect and using block->dash.
ninjara is interesting. his block being effectively unlimited is pretty cool but i dont like not having control over whether i want to move or not (like normal block->dash technique).

overall the game is fantastic. really looking forward to seeing what play looks like when more people are accurate and have a full grasp of their options.

i don’t see it reaching splatoon level of popularity. mainly because the game is overall actually pretty challenging.
i also find it funny that nintendo of all developers decided there was no need for a comeback mechanic.

I think that might be because comeback mechanics can be quite frustrating. Not that Nintendo hasn’t done it before, with all the means people have to kill the first place in Mario Kart, but well… I guess there’s a time for everything lol.
