I’m in the middle of trying to type up the 3DS games list and this showed up
Fire Emblem - Building Your Army Trailer

The potential for a couple to be OP sounds nearly as delicious as Hector cutting swaths through peeps all alone. ‘Oh no looks like some bandits have suddenly come out of nowhere as back up for the enemy! Whatever shall I do? devious grin and maniacle laughter’
Choices I made in the list are based off a combination of my own experiences, impressions I’ve read from both here and Gaf, and reviews. This isn’t an end all be all list as this can be modified as you guys deem fit whether you believe a game doesn’t deserve to be on it or you believe a game deserves mention. Of course you’re going to need to present you’re argument either way.

Just finished playing the demo. Here are some impressions.
[]The characters have some stubby feet, similar to how the current super-deformed FF characters are designed. The rest of the body appears normal.
[]At the beginning of the game, you can choose from three difficulty levels. None of them are locked. I started out on hard mode. Only casual mode is available for the demo.
[]You get your own avatar, but the appearances are locked in the demo. You can choose the name, gender, and your stat growth (you have a best stat and worst stat).
[]The masked person you might have seen in vids or pics is Marth. I don’t know why he wears a mask, and I suspect that he isn’t who he says he is based on the weapon he’s using.
[]Dual Strike can make quick work of the enemy, but I imagine that later missions will have the enemy using the same tactics. The only problem with DS is that it appears to be random. The activation rate may be dependent on support levels. Having two units close to each other will always grant some benefit, though. It looks like ranged units will benefit the most from DS.
[]During combat, you can change the camera angle (there’s a first-person mode), and you can pause, fast-forward, and slow-mo the animations. Should be fun to mess around with critical animations, though I haven’t seen any yet.
[]The main character has a weapon that appears to have infinite durability. Makes me wonder if there are other invincible weapons.
[]You cannot use the stylus for controlling units, for better or worse. The stylus is used to navigate the menus, which are on the bottom screen. You can tap just about everything on your stat sheet and it will tell you what the stat does and whether any bonuses are being applied. Units are also given passive skills that do different things. They may be class-dependent. The healer unit has a nice skill that would go well with a unit that can fight.

That’s all I have for now. I’ll probably start it up later to see if there’s anything else I can discover.
Actually in the demo you can’t choose the gender. You only get two short battles but damn I really want the game, the Dual Strike stuff adds a interesting quirk to battles and placement of units. As a Fire Emblem fan, I am liking it and can’t wait for the full game.
On the other side of things, I bought Denpa Men and Liberation Maiden on eShop, loving both.
Digging into the second half of the FE demo and I’m diggin the hell out of it. The animated cutscenes are rendered beautifully and I’m liking the new battle animations. Chrom’s and Frederick’s English VA’s sound familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on it yet. ‘Marth’…if that really is him…sounds sounds less like a guy in English…don’t know how I feel about that.
Never played FE and I haven’t had an interest in turn based rpg’s in years but the demo was really fun and I love the art style, will probably cop this year when it drops to $15. Still wish it was an action game lol.
It’s a bit over 1,000 blocks. But I don’t think it’s no where near a gig. I’ve got a 32GB card in mine and still have over 200,000 blocks left free
with tons of stuff on it now. Did you just make a typing error there? Just wondering.
Yeah, I realized you couldn’t choose the gender on my second playthrough. Speaking of which, I tried Lunatic and got my ass handed to me. Enemies deal more damage, have more endurance, and have greater numbers. They might also get superior equipment in later maps. Next, I tried out Normal, where they give you a forced walkthrough of how to play. Got my first critical, and quickly put it in slo-mo.
Blocks != megabytes. There’s no way the demo is a gig.
Despite its rich history, I think it is a combination of the developers Intelligent Systems not having much experience (especially after the rise of polygon gaming) in making action games and the fact that Nintendo’s higher ups that choose games, such as Miyamoto, really don’t care for such games, especially since it isn’t as big of a name as Zelda. Despite the fact Fire Emblem would be perfect for such a action heavy game that probably would play similar to Dynasty Warriors.
