I’m sure WayForward’s made some clunkers, but they’re to 2d platformers/beat’em ups what Kamiya is to action games and having them turn a great show that lends itself very well to action into a game is a really cool idea. Even if the game ends up being average I’ll probably still buy it for $20 because I’m a huge fan of both the developer and show so they already have my money unless it happens to get shitty reviews.
Unless you’re not a fan of old school sidescrollers I really don’t see how you can not love Shinobi3ds it’s a love letter to fans and improves on Shinobi3 in every way. I didn’t notice the ghosting and I agree with most of the reviews that say it makes good use of the 3d effect, also it’s graphics aren’t as good as say Mario 3D Land but it’s definitely better then anything you would find on ds.

Some one get Retro Studios on the phone, fuck waiting 25 years, I want a console sequel in 4 years at most. Love Sakurai and his work, I truly do and I get he is going to be busy with Smash Bros and maybe some other game, but it is best not to waste a good property when you just revived it. It ain’t got to be Maddenized but two decades is stupid.
…me? lol I’m not exactly a fan of the art style and when I tried watching one of the episodes it didn’t quite entertain me so I haven’t tried to watch it again. I’m guessing there were a few things in the show that just flew completely over my head but in either case my first impression is ‘WTF is this?’. I’ve chuckled at some clips and gifs that people on the internet have posted here and there but most of the time I’m lifting 1 eyebrow at it.
*Massive *amount of behind-the-scenes Metroid information here. Cancelled projects that still have potential, hints at the future of the franchise, etc. From what I’ve read so far this is mostly about Retro Studios.
I hope they’re working in a new Metroid and not Starfox.
I want Retro to do another Metroid pretty bad but I have to say that the idea of them working on Starfox is far more intriguing to me at the moment. We know they can do Metroid…
Fuck Starfox, give me a new a 2.5D sequel to Metroid Fusion. Other M combat was fun but it’s an unfocused mess we need a real Metroid and I’m sick of the prime universe. I tried playing Hunters for the first time in 2 years and I had no idea what I did last or where to go so I gave up lol.
Everytime someone says KI around here I think of Killer Instinct right away. Yeah I know I know. Just more of a reflex at this point.
Also all that “authorize” shit from “M.Bison” in Other M was so fucking stupid. Still liked the rest of the game though. That had to be the biggest troll EVER on Samus too.
And again is it THAT hard to make Super Metroid 2? I mean it says million seller day one almost. Would be something the Wii U could use for xmas this year even if it’s a xbox live arcade like title.
Just got a 3DS over the weekend and I’m confounded that there aren’t more GBA titles on the eshop. Don’t they realize putting the Castlevanias and Metroid Fusion on it would make them a fortune?
I’m sure they’re aware of it but they just won’t for some reason…GBA had a hell of a library of good games on it. Maybe they’re just waiting for a bit longer to make sure that the Ambassadors feel exclusive to something? I already got my 10 GBA games for free though so I’m good…maybe they might announce something on that this year?..probably not…
Why? YT bitrate is horrible, no matter the quality anything uploaded to YT gets it’s resolution raped. GT definitely looks better then YT 720P.
Also SMH @ the comments, clearly 99% of those guys have only ever seen this vid. Anyone who’s been keeping up with HoR videos can tell for fans of hack n slashers HoR is a contender for 3DS GOTY which is saying a lot considering the upcoming titles.
