Nintendo 3DS - Best Handheld Today

I might just get it, not sure since money is tight for me these days now.

Looks pretty fun, I might pick it up if it’s as good as mario tennis 64.

If you were in my games an hour ago I’m sorrry…I accidentally hit the power button while frantically trying to keep up with all the BS that was going on lol.

I ordered FFIV DS, yessss!

Holy shit, a game without Wesker involved! HALLELUJAH!

Final character roster has been revealed so Wesker might still be lurking in the shadows. It appears they won’t be doing crossover pairings this time. Shame since I liked many of those pairings like Felicia and King

What’s even more surprising is that there’s no Sonic on the Sega si- WAIT A MINUTE!

ALL OF MY MONEY!

Awww, just when I had my hope up crosses fingers for no comeback mechanic

a vid of some off screen gameplay for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy came out of Pax on GT

pretty much details what to expect from the game…I’m still debating if I want to try to put this in my budget or not considering KH3D is releasing the same month.

I really don’t get the hype for this game, looks like every other music game I guess good job from Squeezecashoutofyounix.

If you don’t like music/rhythm based games then it’s not going to appeal to you. There aren’t many of these types of games that actually let you play on game OST.

I liked Elite Beat Agents, but this seems like a cheap cash in.

I’m curious…please explain your reasoning for why you think it is.

rhythm game looks awesome!!!

-Graphics are ass, visuals have always been important in this genre
-50 DLC songs each costing $1.80
-RPG elements seem artificially shoehorned in to give the illusion that it’s more than a music game
-Bonus stages meant to pad out length look sound horrible
-Early previews saw it’s too easy although journalists were probably playing on normal even so it doesn’t look like it will be that hard

Simply put, it looks lazily scrapped together needing a lot of polish. It’s clearly aimed at FF music nerds only and no one else while the best music games like Rockband or even Audiosurf are so well designed and have a much broader appeal even to those not interested in the type of music those games offer. This is just the FF equivalent of RE: Mercs, preying on those waiting for a real FF on 3ds.

Also  @ versus13 music on it, Squeenix in full troll mode.

that crossover rpg better have Sonic and Pacman on the Sega and Namco sides.

FF music nerd kinda cuts deep there Zoolander.

I don’t know about visuals being important to that genre because I’m pretty sure when people play DDR, Rockband, and Guitar Hero they don’t really pay much attention to the backgrounds since they are more focused on hitting the notes/arrows. I can’t fault you for not liking the style but I do question the importance you say it has. It’s just done in a cutesy simplistic style…you aren’t really expecting them to make something super animated for something so niche are you?

The price point for dlc is definitely ridiculous, I don’t know why they don’t follow Rockband’s method and just release them in packs.

Let me ask you did you think RE: Mercs was a good game, and/or worth it’s MSRP? I really don’t think a “game” of that quality is worth more than say…$15 max, same will probably go for Theathrhythm.

I didn’t mean being a FF music nerd as an insult, and if I did I’d be a hypocrite, I’m just saying it looks like Squeenix is pulling a cashcom. Also as a fan of music games I think visuals are definitely important, sure I’m looking at the notes but music games are supposed to be evocative of the senses and having an aesthetic style that enhances the mood goes a long way. For example when you play Rockband do you choose quickplay with the crowd, stage, singers, vibrant colors all layered by film grain or training mode with a bland empty room as your background?

For the millionth time I can’t wait for HoR, even the shitty art style is starting to grow on me.
