I wouldn’t watch GT’s review of Kid Icarus directly. I think it had some sections in it that I think some would have liked to have kept a surprise.
Kid Icarus looks awesome. Don’t really have the cash for it right now, though.

I need this game in my life but i’m beyond broke right now.
Holy shit, I literally gasped when I saw this. (And I’m not a retard who uses that word but means figuratively.)
I’m not sure if any of you know about how fucking dope Gon is, but if you don’t then you should get in the know. His comics are the shit.
I was super, super close to buying a 3DS. Now I have to wait and see what’s up with this game before I decide if I want a US or Jap one.
The only thing I dislike about 3DS is that damned region-lock. Sunovabitch!
EDIT: Better coverage on the game here: http://www.vooks.net/story-20764-Namco-Bandai-announces-Gon-Paku-Paku-Paku-Paku-Adventure-for-the-3DS.html
I only remember Gon from Tekken. I did not know he actually had a standalone game.
Picked up Kid Icarus today. The game is pretty fun even tho I only played for about a half hour or so. The controls do take some getting used to but when you get the hang of actually flicking the touch screen and tapping when you want it to stop it gets really good.
I played two free for all matches so far and it is pretty fun. First match I only got one kill, the second time I won with 5 kills so I was feeling pretty good. I just cant wait to put some decent hours into this game.
Gon is actually a manga character. There are 8 books if I remember correctly, and each has a bunch of different adventures he goes on. He’s like the honey badger mixed with Godzilla, but tiny.
He had at least one game for SNES, and I think a few others.
He also has a 50 episode show starting next month in Japan.
He needs to be DLC for SFxTekken. Day One Buy!
Kid Icarus is freaking amazing. I lost it at “GFORCE IN MY FAAAACE!”
It took me around 10 minutes to get used to the controls. Then again, I played Metroid Prime Hunters, so it wasn’t anything I haven’t done before. Gameplay’s really satisfying as well. Multiplayer is also awesome. This game is just a really complete package… nothing much else I can say.
Still not used to the camera controls, but loving the game.Wound up playing online free for all and at least early on I can say blades are useless other then not slowing you down.
Anyone actually using the stand that came with it?
Now I’m thinking of the anime with the same name.
Also a certain green haired woman = Tara Strong/Twilight Sparkle.
No this chick just said swagger, I almost put down the damn game and walked on because I hate that damn word. Good thing the game is good.
Here is my FC if we are going to be doing exchanges and get them on the first page.

lol, you should’ve watched the trailers before you bought the game.
Target is selling 3DS for $145, and has a buy 2 get 1 deal on all games.
So I’m going to finally break down and buy the system. As my cousin has OoT, Icarus and likely Mario, I’m debating between which 3 of these games to get:
Bit.Trip Saga
Cave Story 3D
Pac Man & Galaga Dimensions (just for the new Galaga shmup)
Shinobi
Mario Kart 7
And to a lesser extend debating:
Resident Evil: Revalations
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
$80 bucks for 3 games is not a bad deal at all. I wish I would have know that before I got it from gamestop. I would have gotten RE:revelations and one other game too
I ended up getting Mario 3D Land (cousin didn’t have it afterall), Galaga Dimensions and Mario Kart 7.
I settled on Mario Kart because Target doesn’t sell Cave Story 3D. I didn’t see Resident Evil their either.
Registered my stuff and now I’m a Premium member at Club Nintendo. Second year in a row. ~_^
Gonna set myself up and buy Kirby’s Adventure 3D, VVVVVV and whatever else looks nice.
I sure as shit wish I could play Japanese games on this system though. Sucks balls. I wonder if we’ll ever get a firmware update that allows for it. I mention my dissatisfaction with that every time I register a product at Club Nintendo.
Get Shinobi. Best 3ds game easy IMO.
Finally sat down and started playing Kid Icarus and I’m really enjoying it. The dialogue in this game is too good so far and could potentially be in the same quotable sphere as Starfox 64. I’ve pretty much 80% adjusted to the controls within the first 3 stages but i keep expecting the stylus to be like the pointer for shooters and it doesn’t quite work that way (in terms of having a deadzone that you go past and dictates when the camera will move and make your character turn). Kind of annoying but it’s not gamebreaking or anything. I’ll probably try some online at some point this week so I can get owned lol. I’m going to add you blklightning21.

Question: When you play this game well, do you get a feeling of power and accomplishment? I really dislike action/adventure games that leave me with the neutral feeling of “okay I passed the level”. But I absolutely adore action/adventure games that make me feel “fuck I am dope at this!” when I do good, like I am just tearing it apart. Super Metroid being the best example of that.
I know it’s a pretty subjective question, and I’m probably not communicating myself clearly.
I want to get this game, and you’re actually a big reason for that, so I want to hear what you have to say.
Edit: And Target didn’t sell Shinobi so I couldn’t get it. My next debate is between that and Cave Story.
It’s one of the hardest games I’ve played in years and (for better and worse) there are tons of cheap deaths so you’re forced to quickly master the controls (double jump, enemy patterns, slide, kunais, sword, and ESPECIALLY PARRY) but once you do you feel like a badass ninja…until you run into a new enemy or obstacle:rofl: There is no block, R is a parry that is kind of lenient but still only lasts about half a second and you can’t spam it so if you can’t instantly parry multiple attacks on reaction a bunch of times then you’re not beating Shinobi on normal, but like Demon’s Souls it feels really good to beat a level. YOU WILL DIE A LOT. Shinobi is purposely constructed to annoy the hell out of you for example there will be a row of spikes (which instantly kill of course) and in the middle of it there will be only a tiny pixel of space to land on occupied by an enemy who’s only vulnerable for a spit second in between throwing kunais so you have to jump right on top of him, parry the kunai, attack, and land straight down on him. The enemies and obstacles are really synergistic with how badly they try to fuck you over which is good or bad depending on your taste lol.
I can’t stress how GDLK this game is (if you’re into old school “cheap” platformers) it’s one of my favorite games because it’s heavily influenced by Shinobi 3 while taking it several steps further, it has an awesome weeabo/cyberpunk art style, and the levels look great in 3D. My only complaint is that in between levels there are various 3d focused mini levels like surfing down a cave or riding on horseback that break up the side scrolling action but use 3d terribly and get a little annoying which is surprising because the actual game uses 3d really well.
