So what’s the deal with Nintendo being sucky at securing 3rd party titles? Is it that Nintendo gets greedy and tries to make developers do only exclusive games, or what? Playing my new 3ds…EVERYTHING from Capcom is damn good (feel bad for those who missed the recent sale of Capcom titles under 10 bucks). Namco seems to have just phoned it in with that half-assed Tekken 6 port, but they could’ve easily put a new Soul Calibur game on here…even a port of Soul Calibur 4 would have been sweet (Vita got more support without any of Namco’s fighters…looks like it ain’t getting that portable Tekken Revolution, despite what Harada said. Itsuwaribito ga.). Seriously, why is Nintendo ALWAYS in the same spot: nearly nonexistent 3rd party support, mostly cutesy 1st party games?
P&D Mario is kicking my ass at the moment. I’m on world 3 and encountered a level that doesn’t have recovery orbs, and everything hits hard.
I think this has been explained before, but basically it’s Nintendo’s die-hard core audience.
They absolutely REFUSE to buy anything other than Nintendo’s first party stuff, and let other titles twist in the wind. This leads to said 3rd parties pulling support and forcing Ninty to put out more 1st party titles to weather the storm, leading to a vicious cycle.
These scrubs didn’t even buy Wonderful 101 or Bayonetta since they thought they were “3rd Party” titles rather than exclusives published by Ninty themselves…
Nintendo’s portables seem to be the only machines that escape the curse, largely due to portable titles being cheaper to produce and the audience remaining fairly open to the kinds of games that are developed for them.
I only skip out on 3rd party stuff on Nintendo systems because they’re always better on PC.
Nintendo for the amazing 1st party titles, PC for everything else. Though as of late that’s only been racing games.
Horse shit. Most of the good original Wii titlles aren’t even made by Nintendo. Pandoras Tower, Last Story, Arc Fantasia, No More Heroes 1&2, Mad World, the Resident Evil rail shooters, the tales game I can’t remember the name of
GameCube had Billy Hatcher, Phantasy Star, Skies of Arcadia (port or not still counts), and a tons of other games I can’t remember directly right now.
Nintendo had Banjo, Conker, Mischief Makers, Mystic Ninja Goemon, Chameleon Twist, Turok series, Golden Eye. Tons of amazing titles.
Do I even need to talk about the amazing libraries NES and SNES have?
Nintendo always waits to do 3rd party titles once they’ve established their own IP’s. They’ve ALWAYS been this way.
Hell most the launch titles for the Wii U and most the games for the first year weren’t even 1st party. You had Batman, Mass Effect, Black Flag, Dues Ex, God damn black ops 2. Plus the Wii U has supported a lot of 3rd party titles with the eShop. Most digital games I own for the Wii U and DS aren’t Nintendo they’re random blow Joe devs.

Hey guys…graphically, where does Tekken Prime sit compared to Tekken 6 psp/vita? About the same, better, worse? I know it’s missing Azazel and Ogre (probably because they can be construed as satanic or something).
Good enough for now…but X will get snatched, day 1. I’m just learning MH, and I like it. Hey…do most people use all or some weapons, or is it best to main 1 weapon for the whole game?
I usually main 1 or 2 (Hammer/Longsword), but I’ve expanded since MH4U(Insect Glaive/Dual Swords/Charge Blade). Certain weapons are better for certain fights or strategies. For example, I’m not bringing a hammer to a fight against something that moves around a lot and I’m not bringing a Longsword to a fight against something with armor and nothing to cut off.
If you’re playing online, you also want to take into account what weapons the other players are using and fill the gap if you can. Ex. Something to cut tails or break certain parts. A Glaive is almost always the right choice, though.
Charge Blade turning into a beam greatsword is goddamn delicious.
The “Hunting Style” system that I read about sounds pretty interesting. Looks like we’re not getting any new weapons, though.

Can go different playstyles with it depending who im playing with or if im going solo, but you can use every weapon if you want.
@Sonichuman MH4 came out in 2013, we just now got it recently with the Ultimate edition of the game and it’ll prob be the same with MHX
