So they officially made it a true Rogue-Like RPG instead of half assing it.
Where does it imply that?
I’ve been playing Etrian mystery dungeon up to the 7th main story dungeon and so far its alright. Would have been amazing if they had the sub class mechanic and a bit more classes, maybe a tad bit more enemy variety in dungeons and balanced the game around that. Personally think Wanderer class has a pretty lame skill tree or just bring back/replace that skill tree with Bushi from Etrian 4.
Etrian classes are mostly amazing when sub classing gets involved because team composition variety just goes through the roof. Being able to use 8 characters in a FOE/DOE fight is a dope idea but still.
It’s a alright mystery dungeon game. A bit annoying AI that you can work around somewhat.
ONE BIG BONUS THOUGH IS THAT THE OVERALL OST IS PRETTY GOOD. Would have been a much more boring game without it.
I dropped my 3DS and Etrian mystery dungeon loaded up and told me that I failed the dungeon and gave me the equipment strip punishment.

Who’s picking up Puzzle and Dragons Z today?
looks fun i didn’t know it was getting out today so i probably will.
I have it preordered but I am probably going to cancel it. Just don’t have the extra cash to pick it up right now.
Picked up PDZ. I’m hooked. I finished world 1 in the Mario game, but I don’t know how to activate certain orbs. There’s a level I can’t access without light orbs. Guess I’ll check back later.
I played the demo for the game and I was intrigued. Seemed interesting and fun enough that I could enjoy it but it’s not high up enough to put into my budget. Gotta prep for that Splatoon and Batman.
So Rodea: The Sky Soldier and Gunamn Clive 2 looks hype, but that seems to be about it for 3DS this year. It seems like 3DS has become an RPG machine like PSV, with little for those who don’t want to play turn based games @Vynce do you feel the same?
Oh, nice! I liked Gunman Clive- definitely gonna get 2.
Project X Zone 2 now with more Streets of Rage! Axel stone all up in dis bitch! (albeit a solo character only, no Blaze boo!)
I really do. I see all these games coming out for both handhelds and I couldn’t really care less about them. At least with my Vita, I get new games to try via PS+, and I still use remote play.
Join the Miku brigade!
It got pushed back to September because yay Sega. Was looking forward to that this month.
Yea there are a ton of RPGs coming out for 3DS this year. There is a (supposedly) difficult version of Mutant Mudds coming out next month if you want another platformer. Wouldn’t suprise me if some other indies sneak releases in throughout the year.
It’s an rpg machine because that’s what sells. Go figure
No one makes platformers or beat-em-ups in 2D*(hell, even in 3D)* anymore. Even the indies have kind of dried up right now. Best fill out that catalog out with some older releases like Dillon’s Rolling Western, Shovel Knight, Senran Kagura, and Azure Striker Gunvolt… Oh yeah, Gunvolt 2 is coming
The only other things to look forward to on portables were Iga-vania games and Mega Man/Zero titles…
Oh yeah… Right…
Planet Puzzle League 3D, Nintendo… MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Platformer, shooter, beat’em up, any kind of side scroller or action game would be nice, oh well still have a lot of essential DS/3DS games I need to buy so I can’t complain much. Just saying it would be nice to see a future for 3DS outside of turn based JRPGs and more towards action oriented games.
A new Puzzle league game would be kinda hype, used to play Pokemon Puzzle League on N64 all day with a friend like 10 years ago he bought a cheap used N64 just for that game, Mario Tennis, and Wetrix, good times.
We don’t even know the full list of stuff coming out for the second half of this year yet. Hold ya horses until after E3.
I pray day and night for a new puzzle league.
I’m addicted all the variations and still play them.
Give it online play and no one will see me again.
