Any date on the new 3dS and MH4?
Man fuck the stratacombs, dark levels have always been a pet peeve of mine, a dark level when you’re trying to not get hit until 3000 Kudos are locked in and half the enemies got that “Yoda is just walking under all the attacks” shit takes the biscuit.
Just missing that and the level with the plants now, plants will just be a matter of time, feels easier to get kudos in the 2nd part to be honest since those invincible doucheplants which swing around whenever you flashfield aren’t there and enemies cluster up nice and tight, couple that with the boss being bitchmade and easy to perfect and it seems very doable that way.
Not actually sure why I’m bothering to go for the Lumen Song pendants anyway, by the time you’ve got them all that’s left to do is put on the pendant which takes away evasion in exchange for a kudos boost and never take it off again as you go for high scores, essentially trying to get shit I’ll never use.
NES, Persona Q and Smash brother 3ds variants confirmed.

After struggling through the game again, going chaos instead of law, and praying… I met Stephen. I am neutral.

Got the song pendant the garden level, usually Vasuki is a pretty good bullet for scoring runs, but for some reason it just doesn’t seem to do it’s usual rebound thing between the bud things and the flying robot things, have to use Orochi instead for the first segment.
Did most of the scoring in the first round again, there are plenty of blind spots where the doucheplants can’t get you and Orochi turns the midboss into Cirno in touho.
Thinking of using the gun which shoots the ground crawlers for the Stratacombs, but only 2 tags feels pretty shitty imo, maybe jumping Orochi shenanigans would be better…
The inside isn’t ugly, but they damn sure could’ve done a better job.

Beat Azure Striker Gunvolt and honestly it was very mediocre or worse for me. Kinda makes me want to finish Volgarr the Viking and makes that game SOOOOOOO much more appealing to play through again right now.
I’ll start Shovel Knight pretty soon though.
@owattjacob Volgarr is one of the best games I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting my ass kicked by it’s like my dream game: An action/platformer that takes both combat and platforming skills no bullshit gimmicks or RPG elements to get in the way just pure killing stuff and jumping over stuff. It’s coming to 3DS somday lol.
Have you played Shinobi for 3DS IMO it’s better than Volgarr, The Viking, but it was developed by the same guys and served as the prototype really.
I have a physical cart of it.

Does anybody here own a 2ds? Im thinking about picking one up since my original 3ds isn’t working and I can get one for about $90. I know a “new” 3ds is coming out sometime but I need something for smash. Just wanted to know if it’s worth it or not.
I have a one &really like it. Bought it around the same time Pokemon X & Y dropped. If you don’t really care for 3D, (hence the reason I bought it) & wanna save a few dollars I say go for it.
although that persona q xl is getting bought quick fast.
If you do plan on picking a 2ds up id do it sooner than later. They’re no longer being produced so once they’re gone they’re gone.
The good thing about them though is they recently dropped to 99.99.
What, wait? I heard nothing about this. It would be major news if it were true.
It’s either that or where I work is no longer carrying them. They’ve been disocontinued.
Also with the “New” 3ds coming out it’s likely getting rid of original DS software and since ds games aren’t being made anymore there is no reason to keep the 2ds or 3ds XL around once the N3DS is released.
